Hardware Specs:
SDD - WD Black 1TB
16 GB Ram
3080 Ti Graphics Card
Windows 11
It’s about 30-45 seconds to load one waypoint to another, or teleport back to town. I’m hoping this is just because of the Beta, but please look into preloading some of these resources when it comes time to release.

I can load waypoints and cities within 10 seconds or less.
I have:
-Asus ROG Z390-E Gaming Motherboard
-Intel i5-9600k Processor
-1TB M.2 NVMe SSD
-Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti GPU
-32GB DDR4 RAM
-Windows 10 (Home)
Question(s);
-Is your GPU up to date? What version are you running software-wise on it?
-What is your CPU because that helps aid in processing time, you did not list it.
-What is your Motherboard? Is it up to date? What BiOS version are you running?
-What is your utilization rate look like on the CPU?
GPU is up to date. Just updated them.
CPU is a Ryzen 9 5950X
Motherboard is a Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
Not sure about utilization rate.
Almost instant here, Seagate M.2 NVMe 1tb
Your build is more than capable of running the game smoothly; I’m sure the issues you’re having are the result of the beta and D4 not being fully optimized to support all hardware yet. If your hardware and software are up to date, I’d call it a fluke and consider It’s on Blizzards end. I was just disconnected and then forced to quit, and now I have to log back in after being on for nearly 2 hours only to hit the 50-minute queue line- these issues are to be expected on Beta. Keep your hopes up—it’ll get better.

Hi all. I wanted to play the beta to decide whether I need a PC upgrade when the game releases.
I have loading times in cellars, portals, etc. of about 10-20sec, which is clearly too long. I wonder now if this is just because of the beta servers or if it’s my hardware.
When I played with a friend with a way better computer, his loading times were about 4-5sec.
Do people with a new gaming rig have 1-2sec loading times?
My specs:
Intel Core i7-10700K (LGA 1200, 3.80GHz, 8-Core)
ASUS ROG Maximus XII Hero (wi-fi) (LGA 1200, Intel Z490, ATX)
G.Skill DIMM 32 GB DDR4-3600 Quad-Kit, F4-3600C14Q-32GTRSB, Trident Z Royal
MSI GeForce RTX 2070S GAMING X TRIO (8GB)
Samsung 970 EVO Plus (1000GB, M.2 2280)
You should be fine. I will say that last weekend I was in the loading screen for like 2 seconds max. I could barely read some of the tips on the loading screen in time before the zone loaded. However, this weekend it’s been sometimes up to 10 seconds for me. Usually around 5 seconds or so though. So I wouldn’t really worry about it yet.

To my own question regarding loading times. What do you guys think would be a bottleneck causing it. CPU, Ram, GPU?
I have a GTX 1660 super, I3 9100, 16GB ram, and installed the beta on my hard drive and my load times were around the 10-20 sec range, so I’m working with arguably worse specs lol.
I’m guessing something to do with particular hardware or updates on the beta? Oh and if it matters, I did not download and use the high quality textures for the beta.
I’d say the problem is most likely on Blizzard’s end though.
I’m getting excrutiatingly long loading times, on a brand new gaming rig that should be more than fine with any game. If you add that up to the painfully long travel times, plus the ridiculous amount of time in town running from the blacksmith to the stash to the potion to the gems to the curiosity vendor, and the end game gameplay loop feels sluggish, boring, annoying and just, long. It’s as if the developers did not play any previous versions of Diablo, and did not understand that the replayability and longevity of the Diablo franchise is dependant on a tight, smooth and snappy gameplay loop. I feel like i’m playing freak*ng Skyrim.
lol exactly. That was the first thing I reported in the beta about placement of chest, vendors, etc. That’s just horrible design. But probably they will “fix it” in one of the next towns in the whole game where everything is close as it should be. Remember, town is Lava.
But I guess I would rage quit if I’d buy a new gaming rig JUST for D4 and in the end I’ll have the same loading times. I better wait until the game is released, but rest assured I will be still mad when the loading times are longer than 4 seconds
