makes a post about best or worst arpg and puts d4 last but doesn’t include their beloved Diablo Immortal. After he makes a post stating Diablo Immortal is better than D4 well based on this clearly not.

it’s too stupid to compare D2 or titan quest with modern ARPGs.
The most iconical ARPG that have been ever made - is D2 by far.
But you can’t compare D2 to D4 it’s just wrong.
Imho PoE is the best in the market now.
D3 is the biggest upset in ARPG history by now. And worst in diablo series, still it’s better than a lot of ARPGs.

D3 being so high automatically invalidates this entire thread.
Only way anyone would think D3 was any good especially at launch is if they bought the game several years after the initial launch after the OG team was moved and a new team gave people the Necro and fixed several issues.

Marvel Heroes was my favorite arpg, D3 and Ultimate Alliance close behind.
Poe, Torchlight 3, and Titan Quest are bottom of the barrel for me.
OP says nothing about launch though, just listing favorites.

The comparison is still goofy because D4 has been out a week.
I like I never played POE or TQ.
Last epoch was interesting. The only thing I don’t like is how not all the classes are made yet. Warlock being a prime example. So despite it still being unfinished, it’s still decent. Looking forward to more customization and transmogs.
Grim Dawn, I put a lot of hours in. I do like the pet controls where you can set them to be offensive, defensive, or middle ground. Plus you can make them attack a specific target. Not to mention, you have access to over a dozen skills rather than just 6. However, the materials needed to make relics are somewhat insane. You need to make 5 regular relics to make an upgraded one then you need to make 3 more upgraded relics to make a superior one, then to make an ultimate relic, you need to make 2 superior relics with some hard to find ingredients. By the time you make half the relics you need, you forget what you are doing because it’s so convoluted. I do like the different playstyles with the dual class system. Opens up a lot of possibilities, builds, items…Very solid and I put near 1000 hours in.
Diablo 3 is good for just brain dead action play. Simple, fast paced, good for a quick waste of time without having to over think. A lot of stuff is handed to you. Sets are needed to kill anything in Torment 6+. Better transmog options compared to other Diablo games but not real customization other than items. Story line was okay. Could have been better.
D2 I liked playing the end game in. I just hate having to get there. Has a much darker tone than D3, access to more than just 6 skills. Classes were fun and each had unique builds that make the replayability worth while.
So all in all, I would go with best to worst:

Diablo 4
Diablo 2
Diablo 3
