What idiot designed this fight so that you have to wait out Lillith’s second phase before you can kill her but she get’s ramping damage and a bunch of AOE spam like are they dumb on purpose or can they not help it?

Fight would be worth it but she drops only a Mothers Embrace which i can find on any one shot boss now…i got 3 one time and one was a 3 GA lol
sorry that you have to dodge a mechanic and cant just blindly press a button.
Seems like a lot of these are to look cool on streams (spectators) but when you actually play it, then it’s either do the dance and win or be like “WTF?!”.

honestly, personally i think that she goes invulnerable is awesome. Shows how many people end up failing to do mechanics.
also… we have invulnerability spells… why shouldnt bosses ;P?
Homeslice, if on T4 I can Stand in one spot, not move, and kill Lilith… surely you can get it done.
Seriously though, all you need is a wee bit of movement speed and you can jog around the perimeter of the arena avoid the orbs like a boss. Lilith is not hard. People have just become unaccustomed to mechanics and too used to steam-rolling with copied build.
Im so glad the other bosses are getting mechanics and made harder. It had gotten so stupid easy that they were more like prisoners waiting for executions than real boss fights.
Wait till next season when you have to “kill” her like 7 times in the first phase.
Possibly some of the fireballs are a bit too erratic at times but it just takes more than 1 try.

It’s pretty simple to see, that a little creativity would’ve had her health bar stop somewhere north of 1 HP, then go visibly invulnerable during phase 2, then eventually drop off again (insert clever player-directed mechanic here to dispel the ‘immunity’).
I just created a better version of the Lilith fight in 30 seconds while typing… and it really didn’t involve revolutionizing anything, just tweaking the UI elements (& possibly adding another player input that feels purposeful). Why haven’t the devs come up with one? Do they not notice how silly it looks?

at the end of the day, isnt it great that you can do lilith on torment 1 by now?

She has the same loot on t1 - so… im going to be blunt here, if you cant kill her on t1, the issue might be the player… shrugs
Ehhh there is a pattern to dodge unless something is bugged. You can watch videos on it. Or add me and you can watch how i do it (if you have the dps because mine is lacking, but i can do mechanics all day lol).
Unfortunately, her mechanics can be a learning curve and finding a dodging pattern that works best for you. Also, you need plenty of move speed. For the way i dodge, i actually screwed myself by adding more move speed, so i had to find a sweet spot in that regard
I haven’t fought Lilith in a while (so I don’t remember well), but I remember that all the Diablo 3 bosses that had invulnerability faces were annoying. (Magda… Araneae…)
It breaks the “flow” of combat.
I do Lilith only if she is part of seasonal journey. The fight is pointless otherwise and forced immunties do not belong to ARPG imho.
If you can one shot boss you should be able to that is good design.
Also color scheme of boss arenas/boss attacks overlap so its annoying.
So if S8 journey will contain Lilith I will kill her but I dislike the fight very much.
