Lilith's Lament

Can’t seem to kill this boss. lvl 14 barb. way too hard to kill.

managed it on my barb on the 4th attempt, try messing around with different builds could help. World tier 2 ofc. psure i focused everything into bleed build by this point, as the duel wielding build felt squishier.

Was this not the one where the ‘help’ appears? I did one shot it pretty fine as a Barb. Did not think it was that bad honestly. If the help never showed up it would be another story.

edit: checked it was and all you gotta do is fight it a bit, a friend comes to help, avoid the stuff on the floor, go in to his shield when it comes up and its a very easy fight.

I’ve had 8 attempts so far closest I could get is just under half health.
Tried different skill combos, trying to run with frenzy and whirlwind the last few times.
no success :frowning:

from what i understand whirlwind is actually not that good, my barbs lvl 25 and i think pmuch the entire run i used Fortify (war cry) and bleed build and had very little trouble with most things. this specific boss i think i tried a new build which is why it took 4 tries, but other than sanctuary bosses i have 1 shot every boss since. try switching to bleed/fort and i think ull have more success

nice, congratz, ya bleed/fort build is just the way to go for barb it seems, to many things are harder to avoid as melee, so having bleeds ticking while u lose uptime and fort for the times u get hit makes a lot of difference i found. later when u get war cry/ultimate u can slap a bosses hp bar down to half in 10-15 seconds with the build.

The fact Lilith’s lament is an acts end boss is dumb. The fact that ranged have such an advantage on every boss is dumb. The barb wont be able to do any content even close until it has full defenses or access to the ancients.

Bossing on barb is almost impossible. They have no real damage mitigation and have to stand right next to bosses. Bosses that happen to be tuned to be hell for melee. Everything they do is a horrible mechanic for melee to have to deal with.

Mean while, on sorc, I can be fully immune to all damage for 12 seconds, while remaining mobile and one shotting everything. Don’t feel bad if you’re having challenges as a barb. It’s almost as if Blizzard intends barb to only be a support class.

Try the Den Mother as a barb. I don’t think it’s possible, regardless of build.

den mother? the wolf in a castle? i one shot that one. its definitely possible.

lol then mine must have been bugged because barb isn’t one shotting anything. I’m not talking about fighting it as a sorc. Sorc is easy mode.

as barb, ive had to repeat only 3 boss fights, this one that this post is about, and the 2 sanctuary bosses. everything else has been a one shot on world tier 2. currently lvl 25 waiting for necromancer next week as thats gonna be my main i think.

Ok tell me how you one shot Den Mother. What skills mathematically do this.

One shot generally means he did it first try in this case.

Barb needs buffs.

I’m playing a rogue, level 13. Maybe I’m just not high enough level, but I fight Lament and then the friend guy pops in, he only does the shield thing once, and does very little damage on Lament. Lament doesn’t drop enough health potions. I’ve tried fighting 3 or 4 times before getting on the forum to see what I should try… it’s pretty hard for a rogue! Any suggestions?

Indeed, this boss is just overpowered for my 16lvl barb and seriously question idea of purchasing full game to have experience like that.

edit:
I was wrong and seems there is a relatively easy solution for barb (checked on open beta with 22lvl):

  • Activate War Cry to increase damage
  • Use Leap (with upgrade to generate fury) to jump on boss and generate fury
  • Use Death Blow (with upgrade to damage bosses and gain fury) to hit boss
  • Use Rend to add even more damage and bleeding
  • Run around platform corners until above reloads and hit again
