Lightning Wolves late game build

Build is “linked” at the bottom of post

So, I wanted to be sure I could get to Pit 100 before I posted the full build here. I’m sure there are other similar builds on other websites. But I wanted to put my own out there for proof of concept that you don’t have to follow a guide or have a gagillion gold to play the game.

I did not look up a single other build in the creation of this. This is 100% home-grown and self-found (did not trade for a single thing). I will likely go look around now and compare mine to Maxxroll or Mobalytics and the like.

Lots of testing went into Skills/Passives/Tempers/Glyphs/everything. There are still 1 or two things that I’m not sure about, like Defiance and Headhunter Glyph vs. Electrocution Glyph. And there’s still lots of work to do on Gear Upgrades (really want a pole-arm instead of mace), Masterworking Rolls, Enchanting, Tmper rolls, ect. But I finally feel like the build has come together enough to know what it’s likely capable of.

Currently farming Pit 85 in ~8-10 mins with mostly level 81 glyphs. And have pushed up through Pit 90. And able to do all other content without issue. Including Unique (Resolute) Undercity runs and Torment Bosses.

Some notable things -

  • This is a lategame build requiring high end gear. The build changed drastically over time as I acquired better and better gear/aspects/ect.
  • Average of 600-800m wolf actives. During recent dummy testing I have seen a few in the 900m range and 1 at 976m.
  • The Unstoppable portion of the Que rune proc does not break CC. Though it does prevent it if already applied before the CC occurs.
  • Subo can be switched out For Varyana with Whirlwind Pull. I like Subo better for more consistent Bulwark availability via Thrillseeker.
  • If you need more CC you can use Stormcrow on the ring. Or find 3 points for Creeper active to replace Ravens on your skill bar. You sacrifice a chunk of damage or Crit. But you do zero damage when your dead
  • I just got my Shroud and, while I’ve made some changes since then, I’m sure there’s going to be a little more tweaking I’ve missed based on that change.

Gameplay Priority order -

  • Keep up Quickshift stacks. Which in turn will keep up Heightened Senses.
  • Lacerate on cooldown for 100% uptime on Catastrophe and to keep everything grouped up for wolf actives and Overload.
  • Wolves on CD in the middle of groups.
  • Ravens/Creeper active to fill in when Packleader doesn’t proc to keep up Untamed stacks
  • Pulverize for Packleader resets, to spend spirit for Ancestral guidance, for damage reduction via Iron Fur Heightened Senses, and Primal Pulverize.
  • Shred to build Spirit,
  • Attempt to keep up Bulwark as much as possible.

Typical play loop -

  • Jump in with Lacerate to suck up the whole screen.
  • Bulwark to get shield and all associated passive buffs
  • Ravens/Creeper to start Untamed stacks
  • Wolves active
  • Rotate between Pulverize and another skill: rotation priority- Wolves>Bulwark(when needed)>Ravens>Shred
  • Shred to build Spirit when needed
  • Shred between packs to keep up shifting buffs.

*Note on some stats from maxroll- There’s something funny with the Crit Damage temper on gloves. The stat sheet does not line up with my in game stat sheet on a few things (crit chance, Willpower, and a few others)

Good luck and have fun on all of your adventures!
