Lightning Spear Overpower Snapshot

Is this (title) still a thing? I just did a Nightmare Dungeon were every hit from a LS was Overpower.

I do not know how it was done last season and I have no idea what happened now…

I’m using Winterglass, Enlightenment, Familiar Enchantment, Perdition and Shroud.
Not using Unstable Currents or that rune that guarantee Overpower.
Also, no Boss Powers, I’m on Eternal Realm.

If your first LS in an instance (NMD or pit) Overpowers, all your following LS will Overpower until you leave that instance.

It has 3% chance to happen.

… And here I thought this game couldn’t be more janky… silly me

Nops, Blizzard changed the way the runes works. You can´t keep snapshot 100% active anymore like in S7.

Yeah, I believe that too, but yesterday I did Overpower with every hit from LS during an entire ND…
Do you have any idea of what could have cause it?

(I imagine it was a bug)

In theory if I use the overpower rune, activating it with double potions and quick enough to cast lightning spear. All the following LS will overpower as well?

I have no clue but I will try it out lol.
What runes combination are you using ?

HunterKiller explained already but you guys didn’t get it so again. There is an inherent overpower chance without any runes involved with LS which is 3%. If you are in a new area and HAPPEN to overpower with the first LS hit, all consecutive ones are also going to be OP. They didn’t fix that bug. Rune overpower however isn’t going to work because Xan is timed now.
Basically, you enter pit prepare the snapshot and hit with LS. If it’s orange, it’ll stay orange if not then you exit and repeat again. Odds are 100/3, so 33.3 tries in average to succeed.

ah nah, I don´t exploit bugs. Anyway thanks for the explanation.

I’m in denial, hoping it isn’t true.

Such a stupid bug…

They should do away with Snapshot. Most of the time, it doesn’t work, I want to know if Blizzard think’s it’s an exploit?
