Lighting Disentigrate

Lightning Disintegrate does not work with Unstable currents, No procs to free shock casts nothing.

I was excited for this and tested it and is dead.

Could that just be because it’s channeled and is only proccing when you start channeling and not on every tick?

Yes, buts that the point the procs should work while channeling not resetting the channel.

Yeah Disintegrate is completely unusable at higher torment levels. It was a good idea on paper but it doesn’t work in practice because there are no supporting aspects for channeled skills like there are for cast skills and there is no way to scale its damage. I was excited to try it out and tried my best to make it work but there is just no way, I ended up transitioning to a Chain Lightning build instead and it’s a night and day difference.

The falling swords elites affix also single handedly invalidates all channeling builds because you absolutely cannot afford to stand still.

I am curious to know how far in Torment level you got with Disintegrate. With my not-nearly optimized setup, I have managed to get into T8 and probably ready for T9. (I am a casual player) I have found some creative ways to stack on some multipliers, like using a 9-sec Blizzard to seek out enemies and spam Vulnerability to everyone. Then tack on Frozen Fate Paragon for a large boost in Vulnerable damage + Non-Physical.

My next step is to get my Crit Chance higher. And lol, I am using an old Flamescar because of the huge + Incinerate bonus, and even tho it’s 1306 base damage, the 75% Double Damage and a heavy Ancestral Focus helps offset that. I haven’t found an Ancestral Flamescar yet to replace it. Got Mana Gen at 61 to feed Flamescar’s power-up. Legendary gloves with +5 Incinerate, for a total of 31.

Using Splintering Energy on an Amulet, but as I think of it now, the ticks are probably causing a damage buff decay, until I completely lose the damage buff. But I need to not stutter cast to proc the Flamescar buff, so I will have to use another Aspect.

EDIT: Forgot to mention using Firewall with the Ring of Fire so that Disintegrate picks up the DoT Burn damage, which opens it up to more damage buffs for Burning enemies. Nice for Bosses / Yellow Elites when combined with Vulnerability. (at 280% currently) Also, Blizzard and Firewall/Burn damage also opens up buffs that rely on using 3 damage types. An alternative is to use Meteor to generate Overpower stacks, and an aspect to overfill the stack @ 15% Damage buff per stack.

these are all old and weak interaction incorporating outdated things, and only adds a few additive dmg scalers, which do almost nothing in the grand sheme of things. Almost nothing what u describe here is used nowadays for any endgame build, it is simply not strong enough mathematicly.
I can see you having fun tinkering stuff, but sadly your way behind on how we currently building classes.

Vulnerbale dmg integration is nothing new, we all build to have it all the time. You are at least 2 years late with ur tinkering.

thx for the feedback. Guess my poor old casual butt needs to give up on this game, and stop feeding Blizzard / Microsoft’s coffers.

Disintegrate doesnt exist for sorc.
