Leveling is too fast

Ya’ll complained too much about leveling being too slow and now we have the reverse problem. Leveling is far too fast and completely trivializes the experience.

EDIT: Let me go ahead and provide context for what I mean since it wasn’t clear to some people.

I do not want this game to be an agonizingly dull grind and you shouldn’t assume that I’m asking for such. That said, there is a healthy balance in leveling that can and should be struck in any sort of game where leveling plays center to the experience.

EDIT 2: Okay, I get it. You guys don’t like leveling in the game where resetting levels and leveling up again is central to the experience. My suggestion would be to go play another game if you despise leveling that much, but I know where that will land so I won’t even try to broach that territory.

At this point, Blizzard should just remove leveling entirely if it’s really that much of an issue for the broader community to ask for healthier leveling progression.

I got to 21 in about 20~ minutes before i had to leave

Oddly fast, seems quite faster than 40%, unless they just have you get to 70 real quick before the real grinding happens.

The leveling speed to 50 wasn’t really changed much if at all. It is in tier 3 and 4 where the changes pick up.

Unless progression plummets post level 50, I’m not seeing a scenario in which I don’t hit level 100 by the end of this weekend, and I don’t play as liberally as other people do. Several people will probably hit 100 by the end of the week. That doesn’t seem too fast for you?

Leveling is fine. Slow trudges aren’t fun.

I don’t think I was ever advocating for that. There’s a healthy balance between the two that could have been met.

Why would hitting 100 on a single character in a week of no-lifing be too fast? You have several other classes to get to as well. What if they increased the speed of leveling so that you could experience all 5 classes and new builds each season? Why on earth would you want the leveling to be so slow that you focus on 1-2 characters a season? And does it even matter? You’ll be doing the exact same repetitive tasks at level 1 as you will at level 100. You could level to 100 in one monster kill and have the same game except for your numbers would be bigger.

Good! Now you can clear content and enjoy the rest of the game!

Brother, I played for an hour-ish and am at level 50. As I said, unless progress plummets into a void post-level 50, there is no scenario in which you need to no life the game to see level 100.

The season isn’t even playable since or for an hour. At least try harder with your trolling and lies.

???

Raxx said same, he can take a fire sorc to level 40 in an hour and a half. I for one had no issue with the leveling, in fact if we recall, few hit Level 100 in D2. I do not understand many decisions in this game. Luckily many good games around, for when boredom sits in.

That sounds like an improvement to me. Once I hit the 60s, I was done. Little to no reward after that point to keep grinding the same stuff over and over. Maybe now I’ll get 60 so fast that the next 40 levels aren’t soul-sucking grinds.

I already work a job, don’t need a second one.
I’d rather fast paced levelling over grinding for hours on end for what? Half a bar and some cheetos? I’ve spent more productive evenings at the pub talking to drunks.
Maybe with the faster levelling people will feel rewarded for their time rather than turning the crank on a peanut machine.

Why do people act like I’m asking for the game to be a soul-crushing grind?
