Leveling is boring. So dont. Go low level PVP

So, let’s be real. We’ve all been there, knee-deep in yet another dungeon grind at level 66, wondering why our social lives look like the barren wastelands of the dry steppes. I mean, how many dungeon crawls can one person handle? Honestly?

Getting yet ANOTHER “kill all the mobs” while a group of 5 mobs spawn behind the barrier I had an “Aha!” moment. Only it wasnt exactly “aha!” I said.

So I ported outta there and plunged headlong into the uncharted wilderness known as the PvP zone. And oh boy, did I get a beat down for having the AUDACITY to exist. Yep, the high-level wannabe-elite gang wasted no time ganking me, and not in the friendly, let’s-share-a-potion kinda way. In the “my boss says i have to get hatreds chosen 36 times in one hour and it has a 5 min timer… soo…” kinda way.

But here’s where the plot thickens. I didn’t just lie there in digital defeat. Ohh, there was tears, and pouting, and i may have "hrrrrmpf!"d a few times but THEN I geared up, put on my strategy hat, and started playing smarter! Calculating Stats, the weight of the moon, the effect of solar flares on my latency, and basically being a rogue in Diablo 4 PVP (LOLGITGUD POOR CLASSES!!!). Soon enough, I became the guy doing the ganking of the gankers. No longer poor, uneducated gankee, no no, not me, i gradutated and became Professor Genki!. Karma, am I right?

Now, you might be thinking, “But what about hitting the almighty Level 100 PvP and joining the meta gods mr evil sadistic god-killer of the holiest of the pewpewstabbystabby?” Well, let me tell ya, that’s just not my style. I mean, who wants to play a never-ending game of “rock-paper-scissors-cooldown” until someone messes up and it’s game over? No thanks, I’ll pass. Thats not even blizzards fault, thats the inevitable end result of endgame pvp.

So, now im excited to re-level a new rogue to continue my low level pvp since my main has been passively and slowly levelling up by virtue of existing in the pvp zone. Because while people complain about poison rogues and meta builds, im wrecking ganker lobbies using the “straight off wowhead” rogue levelling spec and some crazy gear choices and its honestly the most fun ive had in a while.

And sure, lock and druid are not in a great place in pvp currently, but sorc, rogue, and warrior are absolutely viable, and all three have given me a fair run for my money. Give it a shot, if you havnt, takes a bit to gear up for pvp but after it can be absolutely crazy.

Tell me that doesnt look fun.

If you like to:
Diablo PVP doesnt look fun to me.

Playing against humans is always more organic than vs AI so yeah I totally agree with you, much less mindless and much more exciting cause you never know who you are going to meet.

Ai is more cruise control and chill. Which for sure has it’s place too.

I played a lot of pvp and had some fun but it stagnates after a while.

All builds are essentially click click click on opponent and the only sort of tactical and skillful is how you manage your cooldowns and unstoppable and how you predict the other players management of their stuff.

I’ve since quit the game and I dont think I will return unless I see major, major changes which is highly unlikely.

Instead I’ve installed Project D2 and while there are a lot less players there at least the core mechanics are working and are fun.

Sad that project D2 does not have field of hatred so I could exp and grind items there

Would be the first to praise the lord if D4 pvp saw some improvements.

Again though, on the first initial mega casual open PK experience it was super fun, but after that it died completely for me.

Yes pvp is the way to go if you don’t want to play the game and enjoy it!

hmmm play an action rpg for pvp instead of games designed and dedicated to pvp, games that are balanced around pvp and have teams behind them with skills in developing a pvp orientated game, suuuuuure!

If i wanted a pvp game with similar mechanics (ie a few skill slots, a few bits of equipment to choose from and a couple of builds) i would play LoL, Dota, Smite etc not a shallow arpg.

But what you doing levelling a character, when your title says levelling is boring, so don’t
So what the actual trick to playing the game and NOT earning xp so that you don’t level up

Very clever OP, trying to convince people to go PvP at lower levels so your level 100 can just come in and destroy them, making sure they never PvP again.

I like this idea, we need more people like you destroying lower levels and making PvP so boring no one would join it then the devs may finally get rid of it.

Good thinking. I approve this message.

Literally the opposite of what I said, in it’s entirety, and the complete opposite of what I’m doing.

I’m ganking the gankers, pvping all the high levels who are hanging out killing low level players, which is what I said. I’m also levelling a new rogue (he’s almost done) to make sure I don’t end up too high a level for it to be fun.

Killing a couple 100s at 75 is a lot of fun, will be more fun at 65 again to start all over.

And if a lower level just happens to get caught in the crossfire it’s a bonus right? eh? eh? Yea I know where you’re going with this, it’s ok, your secret is safe with me OP.

It doesn’t look fun, ARPG pvp is a joke.

Since we are making FanFics you must be one of the 100s i recorded burning as a 70. yikes.

I never got past level 80 on any character actually, and I don’t join PvP zones, just never been my thing. The only time I went through a PvP zone was to map out the zone and get the Lilith statues. I met all of one player while exploring these zones, we were both on mounts and didn’t bother each other. This was back within the first two weeks of launch.

Look if you like killing lower levels more power to you, have fun. Just know that it’s counterproductive to trying to get people to join PvP, and this is the reality of the game.

Majority of the player base don’t like to PvP. There’s a small minority that does, such as yourself, that loves PvP and excels at it, again nothing wrong with that. However you’re not going to convince people who don’t want to PvP to suddenly jump in and get curb stomped by players like yourself.

Not a fan of open world PVP. In every game I’ve played that has it, it’s always a hot spot for griefers to curb stomp players who have no chance of fighting back. They usually pop pretty heavy at game launch and die down once people hit max level because lower levels know not to bother. And even at high level most people get tired of it because what have you really accomplished? Okay you beat that other guy. Whoopee. Is my character stronger? Not really because I could have done a NMD that got far more XP AND leveled up a glyph which makes my character stronger. Until they put a system in that at least brackets characters by level so that the fight is more fair, I’m not touching it.

You often engage in disingenuous discourse huh?

I posted a video of me doing the exact opposite of what you are claiming, multiple times in that video in fact, yet you continue to make the opposing claims, so im thoroughly convinced that you are in fact one of the 100s in my videos running around ganking lowbies that is absolutely incensed that I posted encouraging others to come and help ruin your day. Maybe you should stick to wt1 pve monster farming since you like fighting things that cant fight back so much.

Do you see how obtuse that argument is? We can continue the circular fanfics all week though if you would prefer.

The majority of the forums seems to be out complaining about how boring the grind to 100 is, and I wholeheartedly agree. Im not interested in it, and I found its a lot of fun to play lower level pvp since theres no pigeonholed builds, the level ranges vary wildly, the builds and gear vary wildly. My 75 is an animal, my 60, when its ready next week is going to be nuts as long as it doesnt get oneshot (biggest problem in fighting 90-100s). My post was simply “hey, check out this area of the game that doesnt require months of farming tedious content for a single item to make or break your cookie-cutter build” because it takes maybe a few days of running baleful chests to farm the legendaries and rares to build a solid pvp char.

You got me, I’m XkillerX in your video, and I got curb stomped by you. I won’t make excuses, I don’t pvp at all, thought I could farm some pvp shards and get some cosmetics, apparently I was wrong.

If this is what you want to believe, by all means there you go. Enjoy yourself. You are better then another person at pvp on Diablo 4. I hope this boosts your ego knowing that no one in the game can top your awesome pvp skills. Or at least not the level 100s you’ve killed anyway.

Personally though, I would much rather grind until I get bored, then play another game, instead of joining a fight club where I know I won’t have fun. That’s just me though, and I’m probably alone, but judging from the lack of people that go to the pvp zones, I doubt it.

Good luck convincing lower levels to join the pvp zone, which will then entice the higher levels to also check out the lower level pvp zones as well. Double edged sword, but hey what can you do.

Ugh! That’s why seeds of hatred will be the only parts of the seasons journey bingo card that I will never check off. I have no interest in being some neckbeard’s content. I’m happy knowing that players like him waste hours for a quick gank while I’m off enjoying the rest of the game.

can literally cover you while you get your 10k in under 5 minutes my friend, if you are concerned about it.

yall so busy deciding who i am and raging about it despite video evidence to the contrary, its actually hilarious to me, i feel like Rittenhouse RN. If you watch ALL my videos almost every single pvp engagement is started by the other players attacking me while im extracting. Thats the little timer in the top right corner of the screen. im not just running around ganking people. The exceptions are when high levels are ganking lowbies and i intervene. Yall so busy with your little narrative though, its adorable. Thanks for the free bumps.

Reaper I apologize. I forgot you were here.

Things must be really lonely in the ganker zone for you to be fishing here for prey. But good luck to you all the same

Yeah no.

I was going into PVP zones when I was still playing. Mainly to fight mobs and gather dust. I got my mount and would still like to get a few other things. Yes, I take that risk going there, but it was a huge change of pace. I got killed quite a few times. Once, a guy “seemed” to be watching out for me, but I think he was just waiting for others to come try to kill me so he could fight them.

I’m hearing it’s super empty there now, in both areas, so it seems you’re fishing.
