S11 shows the future for Diablo 4 and is heading in the right direction.
Leveling
Leveling felt much better. The dropped Items felt more on point with the level of Monsters. Level 1-60 takes allmost the same amount as before, but is more fun. Only Worldbosses and Azmodan gave way to much exp, but that’s probably a bug. Going from Level 20 to 38 can’t be intended.
Capstones.
Have to say Capstones are super cool at least the first 3, the others need some more iteration and cool mechanics. I really love the system of Capstone beeing tight to the seasonal yourney.
New defenses.
The defense system feels better than it’s first iteration and the first rework. You feel the impact of investing in Armor and Resistances. The UI needs some work.
However Capstones and Defenses were allready in the game and it took 10 seasons to make them worthwhile and fun. Seems the devs are getting better, even tough the pace at witch such important improvements come is super super slow. And it doesn’t look good that core system need so much iteration.
Masterwork and Tempering
Better than before, but it is whatever. Some easy system for the more casual players. Also a lot of Powercreep vanished. Right now it feels not compensated but is probably an nessecary step for the future.
Sanctification
It’s the system that DIV needs for some chase, for longevity for the right amount of friction. However it probably doesn’t sit well with Leaderboards. The builds won’t be comparable, cause some got lucky and has +2 to all Skills or the right Damage Aspect or + % primary stat or +% Lightning damage on every gear piece. So the difference will be more than two times in power.
Also this system is going to be permanent, cause you want to find out about the communities reaction it provides far to less Power for a seasonal theme especially after reducing the power level across the board. In comparison with Season 10 there one single Perk provided more power than all the powers from S7,8 and 9 combined.
Class Speed Balance.
Stealing the class identity from Sorc and making it impossible to perma Teleport, while giving fast tools to other classes. What is your philosophy on being fast outside of pushing? Don’t like this approach. Make Sorc fast again.
Leaderboards
DIV needs more Leaderboards and races take some inspiration from D3 and what was it called conquests? Notify players in Chat about the first to take down Lilith, Capstone Dungeons, beating the campaign under a specific amount of time, First to reach 60, First to reach Paragon 300. First to Level 5 glyphs up to 46 and 100. First to defeat all Bosses in T4 in under 10 Minutes and so on.
Classes
Release more bought classes. Do not only release them with a new expansion. Release at least one new class per year. Really want to see the Amazon, Witch Doctor or some new ones.
Skill Tree Update and future Roadmap
Give us an update to the teased Skill Tree update for Season 10 that did not happen, also show us the next Roadmap. At least after you showed off the next expansion at the Game Awards.
Events
Pls, make bigger and cooler events that start directly or close with a new season. Also think about bringing back something like Witch Tides for Halloween. Also up your Skin/Pet game.
