Leveling are way too fast

I think that leveling are way too fast, especially for levels 1-30 and 50-70.

I’d like to voice my opinion on this.
My way of playing is to enjoy the process, the story and background of it. So i used to explore a lot, rarely using a waypoints, moving on my own from place to place, looking for quests and stories behind.

That said, i don’t remember how i reached level 30, it was so fast, that i think i was still at fracture peaks, probably just got to finish act1 of the campaign. So mostly after that i tried to avoid monsters instead of deal with them, because i thought that other way i’ll finish campaign by level 80 at least XD

I think that’s respawn rates should be way slower and generally in the open world are too many monsters, they should be restricted in general to quests, events, some ambushes and cellars and dungeons ofc.

Somehow i managed to finish campaign at level 56 or so. There was some refreshing time at the start of tierIII, i started to use potions again, and even got killed several times by blood seekers and butcher once.

But then tree of whispers came into play.
Like 500000xp every time for completing a whisper??? every time? I’m okay with first one, but not every time. basically it became to finish a whisper got level up, then go to the cave under the tree, where the same poor guy tries his best to challenge me every time, again no use of potions needed, no elixirs needed.

Help me get a joy back please XD XD.

I’d appreciate opinions and devs response XD

The thing is entire part T1-T3 capstone is waste of time for majority of players so the shorter it is the better.

Maybe they can make that on T1 it is slower for people like you that want to level it slowly. But since its against what majority wants/needs I doubt it.

I love the early levelling speed, feel like its perfect to get a seasonal character to where you can actually start messing around with it. Everything after level 80ish is WAY to fast for a diablo game. Cant even get glyphs to lvl 15 before levelling, and once you hit 100 you just lose motivation to play that character.

If they are going to make levelling this fast they need to add some sort of progression for after lvl 100

I respectfully disagree, OP.

There is only 3 months to play in each season. If anything, the XP should be boosted across the board so players can hit max level 100 faster, and I don’t mean fast like in D3, because that is too ridiculously fast, but more realistic and better leveling experience for all players to enjoy the game. That way, all D4 players can focus on the game events, achievements, challenges and rewards, not boring, repetitive, buggy, ridiculous, unrewarding XP hell grinds to get to max level, which only slows down players and game progress. I prefer to enjoy the game’s quests, explore, do some challenging content and get rewarded for my efforts. Not waste time in a repetitive, unrewarding, boring XP hell grind in Diablo IV!

If it was on the Eternal Realm perhaps worth considering since the game is never ending in the Eternal Realm. But not for season game play in any Diablo game.

We are way past this subject on XP. But to each their own. - Cheers! - JJ -

the levelling system is fine as is…
And I think it should be even faster…
unfortunately we have to create a new character every season which is tiresome and annoying, specially after earning precious gear that will be lost in the end.
If you want to spend all your life playing diablo inside Mom and dad’s basement, is your problem, not ours

Lol looks at the post above you. This is a person who disagreed with OP but was able to state their own opinion in a very respectable manner, while getting their own point across.

Compare that to you, who makes assumptions that people live in their parents basements, just because you disagree with thier opinion. Its very funny because your actions are actually the ones that appear to be much more childish.

Just not sure why you took his opinion so personally, but maybe next time try to give people as much respect as you want to receive back?

I agree with you OP. Game was much more fun before.

But there are people who want to rush through everything and Blizzard caved to them.

In their defense though, there is really not that much of anything interesting either. There is room for it, but it is NOT there today.

15-POSTER… have zero right to argue. you are still in the newbie asking questions phase.

ignored too… It was nice to meet You

It does seem a whole lot faster than before. I am still 50/50 about it honestly. When D4 came out I was expecting a crazy grind to Level 100 similar to the experience of D2 trying to reach 99. But the realization of paragon points and the added benefit from them even if it feels minor it does feel like a lot. The extra skill points in D2 wasn’t anything exciting most of the time the later levels it was just throw away points and the 5 stat points was just for Vitality(which wasn’t a huge deal).

D3 in my opinion was insanely fast to reach level 70 complete journey quests get 6 piece set and be paragon 500 in a couple of hours.

D4 is alot slower compared to D3, but i feel like we are heading the route of D3, rush get max level burn through NMD, GR 2.0 or just get handed a cache of unique that fuel the player go further quicker.

Overall, like i said im still overall 50/50 on the pacing. Just don’t increase it furthermore than this. I’m curious though if that potion from the mid-winter blight is going to be something they gauge on since its not a typical 5%.

I am personally pretty happy with the adjustments they did, it’s long enough to feel like I have time to work on my character, but also fast enough that it’s feasible to get a few characters finished in a season and try the seasonal mechanics with more than one character before it’s over.

It’s significantly slower than D3 but not so slow that it feels like leveling up in an MMO now. I feel like it is in a good spot, personally.

This is an ARPG. Leveling isn’t something that’s important considering the grind for gear. Diablo 3 it was possible to get to max level in 45 seconds.

Evidently you don’t play HC and take risks lol. The fast leveling is what makes risky deaths funs and bearable.

I’m kind of saddened by the number of people here that just don’t understand how the game works. The faster you get to 100 the more time you’re going to have to put in with little to no progression. See the glyph xp posts that you very same people posted about, clearly without understanding why you were mad about it.

Absolutely level too fast in this game already. Could’ve just increased the xp gain from elixirs and been fine but here we are. Not a single reason to enchant gear before level 80 because it’s all going to be replaced practically immediately.

The issue is item level and itemization. Item are not usable, as you progress through leveling. Especially weapon.

Setup item level to the level requirement to same as character level when item dropped is stupidest design implement ever in a game.

Do you mean the Devs? :stuck_out_tongue:

Leveling is just fine. Plenty of real problems to fix. Let’s not distract the devs with something like this.

You should’ve been around on launch, you’d probably preferred that experience much more. Fun fact, on launch D4 max lvl required more than 100 hours, I think it was ~120 hours. Right now it’s ~20 hours, a staggering 80% difference! You can’t make this up, it’s one of the worst game design decisions ever made.
