Level cap concerns

Some of the leaked info seems to indicate that there is possibly a level cap increase coming I for one hope that’s not true I don’t think that raising the level cap is a good solution to problems with char development but what do you guys think

It doesnt matter at the end of the day. The leveling journey is gone. Ppl will hit max level so fast they should just remove it from the game at its entirety.

S5 will see ppl at max level in 2 or less hours.

If by level cap you mean leveling past 100 I HOPE SO, lol.

I’m more interested in people getting to their paragon board at level 60 instead of 50, which would mean more points on the Skill tree.

I think keep level 100 for max level is better.

It means all your gear from all your characters is now trash and you should delete them all to make space for the new Druid class. Conveniently for Blizzard.

Blizz always gets the last laugh on the packrats. :rat:

They increased the skill level cap in after RoS in D3. And probably would have increased it again if the 2nd expac would have came out. In D2 they did not need to increase it since it was allready a big achevement to reach it.

I think we should wait until we have all the information. Blizzard put down all these Expansion plans for the game before D4 even went live so they are not going to change anything at this stage.

Wait for all the facts and information and then we can determine if what they did was a good or a bad thing and then you can vote with your wallet/time about your next steps & D4.

As leaked info, 60 cap is more Blizzable  like D3, like WOW, its a good start at Lv.60
i don really like Lv.50, and Lv.100 now is meaningless (in fact we r Lv.50+paragon 50), i need more paragons.

It looks to me like the level cap is going to be 60, with paragon now tracked separately.

They should keep level 100 as max level, but remove paragon cap… so we would still get xp at level 100… but just for paragon.

I hope they just keep the max level 100.

Having games that end at some wierd or endless number just pushes people away.

( example when wow level cap was 120 it was a deterrent for new players)

I wouldn’t like to see the character’s level increase nor would the paragon’s leveling be infinite. There are smarter ways to optimize the character and make builds work. I don’t understand why people say they need more, what do they expect? Fill the screen with damage numbers or just keep passing levels to get through the game’s infinite difficulties without receiving any additional rewards for doing so?

Exactly this but do it in increments per expansion with the final expansion unlocking it fully.

Without all the other information it’s hard to say exactly. If they just tapped on 10 levels to the game right now without changing anything else then yea probably be pointless.

But if you take the apparent stat squash, extra skill points and changes to the paragon board together with the level increase it starts to make a little more sense.

But either way until we get actually confirmed information it’s probably not worth the mental energy worrying about it.

I don’t think paragon should be infinite. I do think they are going to have the new cap be 60, with paragon being tracked separately. My hope is that you can still only earn, say, 200 paragon from these extra levels (plus the renown paragon and Lilith statue paragon). One of the big advantages of this would be that they could have the XP needed per paragon level get steadily slower and slower without making the endgame grind of trying to get to the top content slower.

They can and probably are still tweaking the leveling experience. Especially expansion launch. I don’t think they will want people flying through it like we can now.

I don’t see the point of raising the Level cap,the games already to easy. Another hours or two game play won’t change that.

The reason why (for me) is because if I play a character and I really enjoy that character… I want to continue to play as that character especially if I really invested a lot of time into it (with the gear for example).

I don’t wish to start all over with a new character and do the same thing all over again.

At least give us that option.
