Been farming Helltides, Whispers, Undercity, Nightmare Dungeons and The Pit in Torment I & II pretty much all day today. Numerous Magic and Rare runes but ZERO Legendary runes no matter how low or high I go on Pits, NMD’s, countless Maiden kills in Helltides, numerous T1&T2 Undercity runs…I don’t know what the drop rate of the Legendary Rune quality is, the best farming route or they’re just extremely random with the Whisper Caches which do reward you Runes. I’ve also attempted to create runes via the Jeweler but no luck. I’ve looked on WoWhead, other websites for anything about how to obtain Legendary Runes, I’m just brain numb right now since I’ve been doing all that I can do to attempt to loot a Legendary Rune, namely “Tam” Legendary rune for my Spiritborn rune word “Tam” + “Kry”. I don’t mind the grind as I’ve been playing Diablo 4 since launch, I’m just looking for answers or if anyone has any insight the best way to obtain Legendary Runes. Thanks.
Yes, havent had any drop yet. I’m in T4 and still no leg runes
3 Ohm and 2 other ones so far but honestly I only used 1 Ohm and the others nobody seems to want.
I don’t know what to do with them but drops seem pretty frequently.
Don’t notice a difference between T1 and T3, I found most my higher runes on T1 on hardcore because my character can’t farm higher yet while my other character on softcore is farming T3 and not finding anything.
Just pure randomness I guess. I’m more curious about what they are worth lol and how I can sell them to other players. Currently just stacking them up and don’t need them because WHO exactly switches a whole build at paragon lvl 200?
Runes are much too rare and it’s annoying to need three same ones to craft one random new one. I’ve grinded through bossfights and undercity for hours to be able and craft a mythical and have gotten next to none of the ones I need. It’s tedious and super annoying! Plus, sometimes I didn’t get any runes from the undercity reward, even though I used a rune tribute. Not fun.
tormented bosses drop plenty
One or none is plenty to you? I don’t know about that. And that’s not even saying anything about receiving the ones you actually need to craft mythics.
This. Most of my drops are from tormented bosses.
You can spam the 3:1 recipe with your rare runes and hope for a legendary. They’re also tradable.
Some of the runes are in high demand rn, so trades are a bad option.
3:1 -random- rune recipe and I’ve not been in much luck.
UC with rune tribute is sometimes bugged and doesn’t give any runes, which makes the crafting even more tedious.
Bosses only sometimes drop runes on t4 and if they do it’s only one lonely single one, so far in 100+ boss runs I got one legendary I needed. It’s super bad.
On top of that world tier t4 UC doesn’t give you more runes than t3, which is also bad.
They are how d2 worshippers would like them to be - an intangible dream. Next time you see a 10 year old screaming its mugg off about the game being too easy and loot raining from the sky, properly chastise them.
Make sure you have completed the new content journey up until Orum in Kurast gives you your first runes.
They will not drop until you complete the season journey up to and including that moment.
Yes we are talking about legendary ones… I have tons and tons of all the others… not a single Legendary
Oh, I’m by no means asserting that there isn’t a problem. Those two avenues to solve it for yourself can easily be overlooked, especially rerolling your runes due to how poorly worded that part of the UI is.
Well, i started watching some videos on builds and decided to see about the druid bulwork rune and discovered you need the legendary… then I remembered it was with the jeweler… no idea what i was doing and tried to make a legendary.
My 1st and 2nd rune crafts turned to legendary and both what i needed for the Bulwark shield and centipede one… im never lucky
The blacksmith forging screws me 9 out 10 times every time… forges 4 or 5 of the same damn skill every time, so was surprised to craft exact 2 legendary runes
this is why I hate when Blizzard decides to add even more farming items to their games… the rng was already bad enough
i have so many from bosses i normally give them away in trade lol. just do like 50 duriel and andys youll have a ton.
BAC runes are so hard to come by, at least for me (playing Eternal). Have 2 only and looking for 4 more to craft the Shroud, like many people lol.
