Am I missing something with runes, particularly legendary runes? I have managed to get 3 by paragon 200 and finishing the seasonal journey. I have target farmed the rune Undercity, caches, and bosses, but nothing seems to drop them well.
It has been recommended to buy them, but the few hours I am able to play, I do not want to spend spamming for the runes I need. I spent 3 hours trying to buy or trade a Bac, only to be asked for 700M-1.5B gold, which I do not have, or for another legendary rune, which (shocker) I do not have.
I like Season 8. I do not like the rune gameloop.

i get most of my runes from bosses.
i mean, what should i tell you? yea they are rare, but honestly, i kinda like that. Theres pretty much nothing else in this game that is rare lol

Bac rune was 100M in Season 7…
less players, less inventory, higher price…
Trade runes 1:1 and use, so possible the rune converting option at the juwelier.
With 35 % you upgrade a rare to a legendary one. Which you can then use or trade 1:1.
hmm yeah, i love relying on 3rd party websites/programs to play my game.

I was insulted today by a guy, who screamed, that diablo trade is the official trading website of Blizzard.
I ran into the same situation, paragon 215, 2 classes running torment 3, and maybe 3 legendary rune drops with target running the undercity with the special item for rune drops. The drop rate for legendary runes is way off

This season is for basement dwellers aka streamers. They were whining for several season and now we have S8 abomination. This game isn’t for people who has job and family anymore. I have found only two runes so far and don’t have gold to buy what I need for the build.
And the problem with the “just trade for it” argument is that many builds/people want the same items and therefore need the same runes, so we’re all wanting to trade trash runes nobody wants
I like it that legendary runes are really rare, but having to buy a legendary rune that haven’t dropped yet after 100 hours of playtime is a bit much.
I think they should double or tripple the drop rate of runes, especially legendary ones. Then they would still be rare, but can find them in a reasonable play time.
It isn’t good if you find 5 Mythic Uniques before getting the right rune.
