Legendary drops problem!

why in t4 i still have to drop not ancestral legendaries or uniques? i’m tired of going back to town all the time for this, i would like not to collect them but i can’t because it could increase the rank of my aspects. why don’t you just give us the recipes and drop only ancestral items, but without increasing their drop! it’s frustrating to have the inventory full of these legendaries or uniques.
please fix this problem

Why? Because they want ancestral to be very rare.

Seems silly but it is what it is. I wish a few ancestral legendaries dropped from torment bosses. Maybe 1 per torment level.

they can remain very rare, but I don’t want to have any more non-ancestral ones that take up space in my inventory and I have to go back to the city every time to break them

This was taken out a few seasons back because people complained about too much loot. It wasn’t always ancestral but it had a decent chance. I’d like to have it back but it seems unlikely.

They want us to keep going back and further to town vendors…

They stated that more than once, so we’ll always be carrying items back to town, like ants…

No turn around, the dev’s are stuborn on that…

I guess they consider this a time sink that is required.

Personally I’d love fewer items and more gold dropped instead.

Watch the dev interview where they say this is exactly what they want you to do and why they won’t provide a loot filter… As they said, it is part of the economy and they want you interacting with vendors all the time.

The best way I’ve found to get 3-4 ancestrals is to complete the Undercity with the Mythic Unique key. It’s frustrating as it seems especially cumbersome to navigate compared to the others but it’s a boot load of loot. No mythics, of course.

Because good itemisation wouldn’t keep us on the hamster wheel long enough.

They need to shower us in useless loot to sift through and manipulate through layered systems like tempering etc so we spend longer in game.

The longer we play increases the likelihood we will spend money in MTX store.

Am I the only one that just leaves them on the ground if they aren’t GAs? Agree with you though and the same with the obol vendor giving me blues and yellows on T4. Maybe one out of a hundred items is GA. And now the goblins have given me sooo many obol bags.

This is every Diablo game ever. The vast majority of it has always been useless and we’ve always had to sift through it. I don’t get why people act like this is new. I guess you could argue D1 wasn’t like this because the groups of mobs weren’t as big and you couldn’t move faster than a snail but even back in D2 I’d clear out a camp and the ground would be covered in trash.

I do in limited situations, but they port to your stash anyways, with a cap of 10. I dislike having that at cap, because I view it as emergency item recovery. Some big Mythic drops and you get DC? It’s there. But not if you are at cap!

The great thing about d2 though is that you could tell by the items name and colour if it was worth picking up or not…

And also I really do love d4 for what it is…but there’s no denying that live service games are getting tired

I truly do hope that d4 continues to strive to be better

Ran 20 Duriel, needed my SB staff, NADA but gave me junk uniques that should be removed from the game entirely.

In Itemization 2.0, they specifically got rid of Sacred and Regular items from dropping in T4 in order to improve the game only to have non-Ancestral items drop in T4 again frequently.

Similarly, they finally capped Enchanting costs to fix Enchanting only to basically make it obsolete with Greater Affixes.

Lol.
