fell in love with Landslide theory crafting since before launch, and the synergy with tempering chance to stun and immobilize with recipes is awesome… but…
Primal Landslide = When you Immobilize or Stun an enemy, you gain a Terramote. Each enemy hit by Landslide consumes a Terramote causing a guaranteed Critical Strike with 40% Critical Strike Damage. Bosses always have up to a 10% chance to grant a Terramote when hit.
my problems with Terramotes
boss vs elites / normal mobs inconsistent
terramotes allow the ability to not build for crit chance on gear affixes, which i love, but the rate at which it procs on bosses mean you have to stack critical strike chance anyways, which now you don’t get the benefit of the 40% damage bonus or the extra affixes you get from the other sources you replaced crit chance with.
answer 1: make it 100% chance against bosses instead of 10%. (simple and maybe best!)
answer 2: allow terramotes to generate as if the status was applied, probably a total overhaul with all crowd control appliances. maybe always, maybe when staggered (best, lots of work maybe)
answer 3: each cast consumes a terramote instead of each pillar. (cast consumes 1, the pillars have 10% chance to proc a terramote each. lots of pillars create self sufficient terramote generating against bosses. (problem would be that it produces an insane amount vs cc’able mobs.)
and of course the other morph should work always/be buffed against bosses also…
