As Andariel, Duriel and Harbinger have the same loot table, the devs should make it so each lair boss has a unique loot table that drops several different uniques. As Andariel seems alot more challenging than Duriel, most people will just skip Andariel. This change will also improve target farming.
For that to happen we need more items first, so that the boss encounters wont drop their whole table with each kill. Unfortunately, it doesnt look like Blizzard is changing pace with adding 1 lazy item every 3 months.
Classes have around 20 class specific unique items and 20 general unique items with Season 8. Hardly anyone is looking for the general ones so with 9 boss encounters the interesting loot table would end up to be 2 class specific items to drop per boss on average. And this calculation even includes the Hordemode exclusives.
That said, I am no fan of target farming. It completely destroys the loot fantasy in my eyes.
The problem is Andariel is much harder than Duriel, so people will just skip Andariel altogether as they have same loot table.
I think Andariel should have a chance to drop from every other boss…would be pretty cool actually.
That’s Belials thing, but different loot tables ensures people farm different bosses.
Yes but Andariel and Duriel have the same tables…so thought it might fun.
Give Belial his own special loot drops. As mentioned above, Duriel, Andariel and The Harbinger of Hate all have the same loot tables. Urivar is a mix of Varshan, Beast, Grig and Zir. Kind crazy to walk back the idea of target farming, As it stands, will skip Andy fight altogether. Farm Duriel and whichever of the 4 lesser bosses has the gear I need.
Agreed, why would anyone want to fight Andy when Duriel is much easier and drops the same loot. Makes no sense to me. They should have slightly different loot tables.
