the lag is so severe its making the game unplayable. so bad that at times i cant even see my character. going into a nightmare dungeon it takes a minute or 2 before i can even move, and then only like 20 feet of the dungeon renders.
ive tried call of duty and that works fine and other games also work fine, so its not my internet.
im in cape town, south africa. please help
i also cant seem to log a support ticket, its like everyone at blizzard was fired and replaced with the worst ai they could find.
So much lag this game is basically unplayable. I’m on a brand new high end computer with a fresh windows install. 1 Gig fiber connection with 2-4ms ping. The problem is not on my end. I died 4 times in 5 minutes and gave up. What the hell.
Isn’t it obvious? Your computer and internet are too fast.
Funny thing though, it seems the faster and better someone states they have, the more problems they have, which is kind of funny.
I get the best results with regards to connection and latency with an 10MB DSL phone line. I have access to Starlink where I’m at, because all we had here was the DSL, but I keep it around as its still better for gaming. Lower latency and more stable.
I think this game just has the most sensitive needs and any little thing can cause it to muck up, even someone with Best this and Best that. Frankly that’s meaningless.
I have a nice rig, not the best rig, but its fairly powerful, has a nice card, plenty of RAM and a fast SSD and gets the job done. And it plays the game just fine.
Something to keep in mind:
Just because you run a typical speed test and it gives X speed and X latency, that does NOT take into account the actual path your connection to Blizzard may go and the issues that could come up using that path that no amount of high speed and low latency can fix.
