Multiple times now, including twice today alone, I’ve killed the world boss and failed to get the 5 grim favors for the tree of whispers. Usually I’m listening to music so I don’t hear the noise, but tonight I even heard the whispering noise that you should get when getting the grim favors. Yet, I’m still stuck on 2/10. This is far from the first time it’s happened either. I’m just finally sick of it to the point of reporting it. This game is absolutely worthless if you don’t get rewards for the things you do specifically to get said rewards.
Did you leave the area before it actually popped up that you completed it? Do you think the whispering you heard may have been from other nearby characters / boss deathknell?
The Tree of Whispers is like a serverside validation check that is required to award you the points. I assume due to the high number of players in the area and the general amount of client side input it has to validate, it has trouble keeping up with rewarding everyone right away.
Edit: I suspect that in your case, you may have left the area before it could validate you as having met the qualifications for the event trigger to award. (I.E. CharacterinZone: 0, WORLDBOSS: isSpawned:1,isAlive: 0 - 0 meaning NO or False) -
I usually have to wait for the Glyph node to pop up, for quest rewards to validate, for even quest lines to progress from being grey to otherwise (you can see a noticable difference when it hangs after completing a step where it transitions).
Just food for thought. I’m trying to narrow down a larger issue myself.
No, that wasn’t the issue. I sat there after the one last night for a long time afterwards to see if it would eventually fill in the 5 points for killing the world boss, and it never did. I sat there for at least a minute or two afterwards. It’s just a bug in the game.
Nope is not only happening with that, easy tree quest also are bugged and mostly don´t ever count as completed even you do it.
World bosses you mostly have to wait minutes to get the 5 favours so i understand him, is bugged and is not working propertly-
Also is giving in tier 4 one or 2 yellow sacred only mostly, i´ve done around 50 or more tree quests and i haven´t got any ancestral even being yellow ones. So is not working as intended, also they said in other patches was gonna give bigger rewards but now is quite the oposite, i´ve been playing all the season and is not working well and not giving anything, despite gems and 2 yellow sacred.
Also world bosses and legion are not giving anything, but is not only this, helltides are worthless so the only way to level up and play is nm dungeons. Everything else is ruined-
