idk why your getting so triggered because i prefer free for all loot, its an adrenaline rush and exciting, but yea you sound angry.
I donât know about the other guy but it triggers me because, in retrospect, it was a really bad method of loot distribution in a multiplayer game.
i must say it was really fun though, and i never used an auto clicker and i dont seem to recall always getting screwed out of loot , but yea all i was saying is that it was fun and exciting and wondered if anybody agreed with me.
I donât think many will. Iâve talked to a few people before this that enjoyed the âOH MY GOD LOOK AT ALL THE LOOT I HAVE TO CLICK FASTER!â and I can see how it can be fun but it really was just a bad system and screwed people out of loot more than not.
If there were a full 8 people in a game, bosses dropped at most, what, 2-3 actually good items? Anyone still trying to attack when the boss died also basically automatically lost out, meaning you had to stop attacking the boss (letting the other âsuckersâ get the kill) to prepare for the drop, rewarding the wrong people.
Attacking from range? You lost. Ping was high? You lost. Just slower to react? You lost. Didnât realize your inventory was full? You lost. Didnât get an autoclicker in a group full of people using them? You lost.
So most people just joined random games doing whatever, to farm an area, raising the difficulty but not contributing to kill speed, in the hopes no one would find them just so they could get the benefit of loot from a higher player count.
It had all the wrong incentives.
Dude, I come from gaming since the 1980âs, having your own loot and not having to roll dice for it, is much better.
The entire notion of having to battle it out on drops makes absolutely no sense to re-implement.
Zero.
Zilch.
Unless of course, you just want more people complaining, then yes do it.
it s more hilarious that ppl truly want it back.
It was clearly a joke from Kripp and nothing else
These are VIDEO GAMES.
This is not a job. This is not military service.
This is not spec ops training. This is not some competitive event.
This is a leisurely activity that you are taking way, way too seriously, and acting like youâre some âhard badassâ overâŚ
Grow up my dude.
Nobody is a CHILD for not wanting to have to do effort at killing bosses/mobs and get zero loot as reward for their efforts because they donât click the mouse button as fast as you.
âiT wAs An AdReNaLiNe rUsHâ over picking up loot?? Practically every single ARPG made after Diablo 2 abandoned such a garbage scenario.
Ahh gotcha so Dragondyce is just trolling us.
Not nice.
no i believe he didnt understand that kripp was bein sarcastic.
In all seriousness, the game should offer 3 loot mode that a group could pick:
- FFA
- Timed Allocation
- Permanent Allocation (what we got now).
By far most people would pick the last one, but it would be perfectly fine to have the option for those who want one of the others.
Personally I think Timed Allocation can be quite nice, as you can just skip the stuff you wouldnât bother picking up, and then it would show up for your friends to pick up if they wanted.
I dont necesarily have a problem to choose as i think choice is always great for players most of the time.
If ffa is chosen it should remove smart loot and drop at the lowest level req (60) for ancestrals in current game mode.
As a ghetto boxer, and anyone multiboxing, ffa would be the preferred mode if not timed.
That sounds awesome! It would a true to life experience⌠hehe
