The question is though, did they go overboard with it? Are they trying to compensate for the blunder that was season 6 ?
They didn’t kill the Spiritborn, what do you mean?
Sorcerer is in a worst state than will be the Spiritborn who was still able to smash down Pit 130 on the S7 PTR.
By having a necro build speeding 150 and maybe a rogue one?
Nuh. Just pure incompetence on calculating their own formulas.
They stated multiple times before VOH that 150 should not be reachable. Somehow both seasons so far we have some class getting there and others this season seem to be targeting way above 100.
So no its not an apology. Just a failure
Also take anything they post with a big grain of salt. Bugs will rise, some form of new interaction or abuse and more builds will skyrocket above their predictions and other below.
We’ll have to see but doesn’t look like it now according to maxroll anyway
Let’s see so how the Seeker and Razor Wings will go.
Seeker buff on the critical strike damage benefits make him stronger than on the PTR.
Didnt see many changes to spitborn.
They DID claim to fix all the bugs and exploits.
Is that what you are crying about?
Nah, it’s what you get when marketing does the game developing.
What are you basing the premise of the question on?
If I’m recalling correctly they said in the recent campfire that SB was still the strongest performer? Have they published a further impactful nerf following that?
Nerfing rod of kepeleke is bug or exploit? All they should have done is fixing vicious shield. That’s it. Without it SB won’t do quadrilions of dmg.
The report of my death was an exaggeration. -signed, Spiritborn
bro, what have you’ve been smokin?
can I have some?
Saw a Fell Maven SB earlier with a +13 resolve stacks on 2 pieces of gear lol… I heard they nerfed that too.
Spiritborn crap will be hold boosted until selling extension perform well. After that they will nerf it.
Based on streamers who played the PTR and released tier lists and SB isn’t even on S tier, meaning currently there is not a single SB build that can push pit all the way.
The Season got a new STAR. The… Doublebloodwavecataclysmfluffybearnecro… doing trillions of dämitsch
Good. There isn’t a class in D4 S6 that can do a 150… except SB.
I can faceroll a Pit 130 with my mid tier geared SB… meanwhile my decked out FB Sorc can’t get past a Pit 95.
Well deserved nerf. I’ve been gaming a lot of years and don’t think I’ve seen such a class imbalance. RIP Spiritborn.
They did go overboard. Enough that it has killed my desire to come back for S7. There really is nothing more to say on my part.
The worst thing Blizz did was allow players to get attached to SB for 1/4 of a year, and think they won’t miss it. “Hey, here is some ICE. Have all you want, but you are going cold turkey in a couple of months so party it up now.”
I agree with you… and I’m not a SB player… I just rolled one for the lulz a month ago to see with my own eyes just how broken the class was. I remember the first time I saw one… helltides and I was beating on the blood maiden with my sorc. Along comes a SB and 1 shots her.
I was like W T F ???
LOL… they should have been nerfed in the beginning when the flawed mechanics first went public.
Figured but best to ask.
I think even they have argued though that pit cap should be designed to be beyond reach and then the leaderboards for pit pushing will have some relevance as it did in d3 GR history.
I’m curious about the apparent discrepancy between blizzard reporting sb was strongest in ptr (campfire) and the predictions you’ve referenced.
Generally I think their lists are a decent rough guide, but not so sure they’re having total precision.
Things can get found after launch too… qv build last season case in point… albeit switching from Uber to super uber lol.
