Uhhhh, better question is how many times do YOU think you need to run it to automatically get a mythic when doing Duriel? I ask because based on the context, you have a pre-determined number in your head that equates to automatic mythic.

The reality is that some people will get a mythic on their first run, some people will never see one despite running over 10000 lair bosses. Best advice is to do rotations to get more chances

If you do countless Duriel runs thinking about “nothing is dropping” nothing will drop.
If you just do the runs not thinking about mythic drops you will get plenty.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve done Duriel this season across 6 characters.

I finally got a mythic off him just last week.

Ohhh No you don’t Slap-a-Bish, that symbol is MINES!!

(( :dizzy: )) , NO TOUCHY!!

But yeah, it’s disheartning to not get anything after doing so many runs.

Though the last time I ran duriels I got 2 mythic uniques within 5 runs. That was madness…

30+ kills without a mythic drop is not uncommon. Sometimes you’ll get a few in 30 kills, sometimes none.

The odds of a mythic dropping are the same for each kill, regardless of how many times you kill him. And, let’s be honest, not getting one after 30 kills is a rather small sample size.

Why do you think you should have a mythic after 30 runs?

I’ve donne 200+ runs sometimes with no mythic drop, so nothing new here…

It may take 100 runs, eventually tho, you’ll get a few.

I do believe it is RNG even though the supposed chances of dropping from Duriel and Andariel have been said to be higher. The funny thing is of all the mythics I have received over a few seasons, not one has dropped from Andariel. I did not keep count but I am confident I have received from every boss near equally except Andariel.
I am sure others have different experiences.

Ok, I think i understand. i always have bad luck in life so why not in the games lottery. Lucky for me, i struck gold with my wife! Thanks for all the info! :+1:

Believe it or not, my first mythic this season (Ring of Starless Skies) dropped in the Pit, and my second one (Harlequin Crest) popped out of a silent chest in a Headhunt.

Your first mistake is expecting one to drop

They significantly reduce mythic drop rate cause the Devs are allergic to player fun

Last I saw the chance was published as a 1 in 50 chance.

So being RNG think about a bell curve with

  • the chances of 50 kills to get 1 being the most often experienced in the middle of the graph

  • the chances of 1 kill and 100 (or more) kills being least often on the outside edges of the graph.

As others said, 30 kills is basically “nothing”. Make sure to use the group finder and list your group, or join another group.

I didnt really keep track, but id say that every 50 boss kills id see a mythic.

Also, dont forget about the secured resplendent sparks you get in every season. Mythics really arent hard to come by at all.

Prior to P200 I would normally get one in that many kills. After about P230 plan on hundreds. Happened both in S6 and S7.
