i just killed Andariel and got 1 yellow item seriously Blizz?
This is not DIABLO you just stole the joy when a Boss dies to see the drop you Chase.
This is essentially since D2 so reverse this change make it how it SHOULD BE !!!
Did you not read the patch notes? The changes to loot drops from bosses? It was clearly spelled out.
They made it so bosses are free to summon now, but once you kill bosses, a chest spawns, and you spend a key to get your loot. They did this to prevent leachers from joining and ditching without sharing their MAAT on boss rotations. Loot is all individual now, no longer 1 spawner for the whole group. Each person must open their own chest now.
No Loot at Bosskill No Diablo VIBE plain and simple
This needs to be adressed ASAP wtf are Test Servers for who let such crap pass into live???
There is loot - you just need keys to open the chest.
Did you actually open the chest?
Assuming not, I’m surprised she dropped anything on death. It is pretty funny if she just drops a yellow to wind up people who are easily angered.
This was tested on PTR with the new changes; it was brought up ahead of S8, and people knew it was coming. So if you don’t like changes,. I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t think it’s getting reverted. at least not for a long time, if they even do
guys i play since D1 and have alot D2 - LOD time after me the think is simple…
you kill a Boss he drops Loot not this OPEN THE CHEST TO GET LOOT WTF
they should think somethink about leechers but let the Loot drop from Boss KILL…
Khrist on a bike, this is like reasoning with a 5 year old.
Did you do literally no research into the season before making this post? How can you act surprised when they did 2 live streams, a PTR, and patch notes where all of this has been public knowledge for two months! Do give us that “I was an OG D1 player” nonsense. It’s a red flag.
From the patch notes:
Lair Bosses no longer require boss materials to summon and provide a vastly reduced reward upon death. Instead, when a Lair boss dies, a chest called a Hoard will spawn containing its loot. Each player must individually use Lair Boss keys to open their Hoard.
" Developer’s Note: We’ve received feedback that players would jump into a party, have a member of their party pay the material cost to summon a boss, kill the boss to earn the rewards, then leave the party. This behavior felt unfair to players who were paying the material cost to summon the boss, so now each player must pay the material cost to reap a boss’ rewards from their Hoard. Additionally, we received feedback that it felt unfair to pay the material cost to summon a boss to test your build against, only to die and not receive any rewards. Now, you can fight any Lair Boss on Torment Difficulty I and higher to determine if you have what it takes to best the boss before sinking materials into them."
Straight from PTR Notes on why they did the changes.
But, but, but reading is hard!!!
Ask any AI what happened if you can’t read the patch notes. Jeez
Not wrong, goodness ppl can’t read. Last night was someone missreading changes to glyph leveling an crying they nerft it.
Can’t read or refuse to read? Hard to tell the difference, sometimes. In a nation where 10% of the population is functionally illiterate and 50% read at a sixth grade level or lower, I guess that is to be expected.
So I guess you are just the type of person they made the boss drop a Yellow for.
It’s a good change overall.
Tried on eternal on t4 and the chest dropped a lot of uniques 7-9 (didn’t count)
Should be 7. Read the patch notes.
- Lair Bosses now drop 7 Unique Items on Torment IV, instead of 6.
It’s really not that hard. The patch notes explain everything. For non-readers, here is a secret:
- When playing in a party, Lair Bosses have a 33% chance per additional party member to drop an extra Unique Item from their unique pool.
I sympathize with this view, and I wish there were some way to bypass it during solo play, but leechers kinda ruined it in group play. There are endless streams of opportunistic turds that will join a party and run bosses until they’re finally asked to put up or get out, and then they just disappear. I doubt they “have the technology”, but it would be nice if the bosses were free to fight but in order to drop loot they had to eat an item from your inventory first automatically. Then people could still get their piñatas without the leeching.
