Kill All Minions; LEAVING THE DUNGEON

Remove this lazy designer affix or accept losing a player four days in and I will be filing a chargeback.

Not dealing with this anymore. 70%, 80%, 90% even. 100% is just horrid design.

Refuse to do any dungeon with this affix, if the number of dungeons that have this affix is higher than 25%, I am done with the game.

I know you got told this your entire life but, the customer isn’t always right. Sometimes they’re whiney, entitled, and self-absorbed.

Worked customer service for 11 years.

Responding to entries that are clearly meant for the devs do not make you a big person. Go away.

Further to this, it has been a prominent objective in dungeons I have encountered. At least 70% and that is being generous.

I never said I wanted it removed, I just refuse to deal with it on that scale. Particularly because some dungeon levels are literally massive.

It’s a lazy objective. Don’t say it’s not. 100% lazy.

This isn’t whiny or entitled at all… if I’m understanding it right. If so, I completely understand.

It sounds like they have a sigil mod that just destroys all pets, which is just a big F U to anybody who plays a pet build. “haha your whole build is gone now” That isn’t a penalty to make it harder, thats stupid.

If the devs dont want people using minions, thy should just remove the skills entirely and replace them with something useful instead of dangling a fun carrot in front of the players and then pulling it away.

Yeah I don’t play a pet build at all. I just hate having to literally comb the dungeon for literally every mob.

It’s a horrible and very lazy design.

Oh… you meant kill all MONSTERS… but said minions.

Saying kill all minions makes it sounds like they’re just screwing pet classes over unfairly lol.

In that case I dont think its quite as bad as you’re saying. If you really hate it though start making a notepad file of which base dungeons require you to full clear a section to proceed and then dont do them unless you need to for a quest/whisper/etc.

Lol… Show them!!!

Side note, little war story.
I had a Nightmare dungeon where I needed to kill all monsters…
And you know where was the very last monster?
Right behind the door I couldn’t open until I kill all monsters!! :open_mouth:
Damn you! hahah…

Blizzard claimed during beta that they were improving this in dungeons by making minions move towards you after a certain %, but this appears to have still not happened.

Not sure if they’re still doing that or if they changed their minds on that idea for some reason. Currently all dungeon mobs seem to have a fairly short leash so you can’t aggro and herd them into giant groups, not sure if that’s why they haven’t followed through on their claimed change from beta yet.

Filing that chargeback would be illegal. I wouldn’t advise doing it. You can only chargeback fraud, and Blizzard will close down your entire account if you do it.

I noticed this. It’s probably in their list of things already, but admittedly probably low priority as they scramble to fix stuff like interactions that resulted in way out of line damage scaling for some things lol.

It’s actually not illegal to file it. It’s the financial institutions job to deny your dispute. However, Blizzard would definitely still shut down your account just for the inconvenience and cost to tell your financial institution “no, they purchased a product, here’s the transaction details”.

Source: I work for a bank. Required annual trainings on this that have exactly nothing to do with my software development job.

Edit: I apologize. I have no clue where you live, it might actually be illegal where you are.

Under that umbrella though, you can chargeback for many reasons, including “product not as advertised, missing parts etc and merchant”… I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS THE CASE HERE, however, heh.

This would be a case of buyers remorse, which is not a valid reason and Noobseason is correct, this would result in a loss of not only DIV but your entire battle.net library, at a minimum. Technically they could pursue legal action, but it is unlikely.

If you are REALLY not having a good time with it, request a manual refund. If the GM responds and says their policies will not allow it for xyz reason, then ask if they can instead remove D4 from your account and do a refund into blizz store credit instead so that you can purchase a product you are more happy with.

Why would you not want to kill everything? That is the real question.

I don’t know what difficulty you’re playing at, but from my experiences (in WT2) these dungeons are only about 30 minutes to full clear unless you’re underpowered.

Probably loot farming, can’t get to boss without completing objectives.

if he paid via paypal, he can get back his money for sure.
Paypal will refund money to buyer no matter any reason…
I used to be a seller in ebay long time ago…
but Blizzard will suspend your account for sure if you chargeback via paypal dispute…

I legit believe that. I stopped selling on eBay for a similar reason. As soon as they converted to “guilty until proven innocent” for sellers, I never sold there again. I got burned once selling online from that, not happening twice.

If dungeons are taking 30 minutes you are underpowered, honestly :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t die though unless I’m not paying attention. Also playing Barb and hate the loot that is dropping so Attack Power is suffering. Armor is managing to stay around offering 47% damage reduction though.

I think at the time I logged out today I was halfway through level 50 and my AP was 1350-ish.

The most important thing is if you are having fun, despite what some on this forum might say.
