Hello all,
unfortunately a fatal error has crept in with the last patch which I can replicate endlessly and from which knowingly not only I am affected.
I have found out the following key data so far:

As soon as you log into a character, the Diablo4.exe writes an additional “^” with every keystroke - which makes writing impossible.

This error is repeated as long as the process is running, even outside the process. Writing in messangers, steam, battlenet, discord, teamspeak, any browsers as well as text files and co is IMPOSSIBLE because you can’t write a single word normally.

As soon as the diablo4.exe is closed the problem stops abruptly and starts again as soon as you log into the game and then into a character.

while you are not yet logged into a character and ONLY stay in the character selection, the problem does not occur so far with me

all cases known to me play with the german client - so i guess that explicitly this one has the bug
Since this is not only annoying or a disadvantage in the game, but as long as Diablo runs neither chat in, nor outside the game allows no side activities because the system is flooded by the input and one is deprived of the ability to write correctly, I hope that the problem is addressed as soon as possible - currently the game is absolutely unplayable for me.
EDIT
Seems like i found the bug or atleast a part of the cause.
It’s the custom keymapping.
I had my town portal set for “^” - which i now changed to other characters like “F5”, “ü” or “c” - instantly the bug stopped - once redone to “^” as the key - it starts immediadly - so as long as you take a other key till this gets a fix - you should be fine as far as i see.
Hope i could help some other lost souls like me and the support getting the needed fix done soon ^^
