So I go to startup Diablo IV and when it gets to the character select screen, it thinks I have a controller hooked up. I’ve never used a controller via my PC. I haven’t used my XBOX in ages and I can’t click anything. I have to force quit the game. How do I get things back to normal? (Mouse & Keyboard)
Try going into:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\OneDrive\Documents\Diablo IV
or whatever your documents folder that contains the Diablo IV folder.
Open the file: LocalPrefs.txt
Check the line for
DisplayModeWindowMode “1”
If it’s a 0, it’s probably fullscreen. I think 1 is windowed. So, try changing this value to whatever it’s not, so that the game may detect the mouse so you can further go into the settings.
I am having the same issue. but I have no mouse or keyboard control at all. I have to TAB into task manager and force close it. I have tried the above but that did not work. I just wanna play the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
