Just tryin to understand

So you guys are tellin me

  1. You picked the least popular global event (Legion event) and turned it into seasonal event (ty for givin us an opportunity to get seasonal points elsewhere tho)

  2. You picked the mechanics of invulnerability phases from the least popular lair boss (Andariel) and added these mechanics to some other lair bosses.

  3. You completely revamped the Battle Pass, removing most of the Platinum “cashback” we had

And all of this somehow is being “aligning the game with playerbase demands” right?

I mean… oof.

Well let’s start with #1 i kinda understand it’s difficult to get a completely fresh and new idea for a seasonal event, yet even the helltides 7.0 would still be better than this abomination where you have to rund, instantly pop the “Shtwong monstah” and run again to pop two more. And all this with quite unrewarding loot. Might be something better, no?

#2 is a pain. I mean all these mechanics could be cool and all when you kill the boss once or twice. But when it’s designed to be FARMED hundreds and thousands times to get yourself a 2% chance on Mythic drop - that’s annoying at least. And that’s a bad design.

Based upon the PTR and other videos before season 8 released, your just Now realizing all of this?

I ve spent like 10 hours on PTR and sent a feedback with all these, but never watched closely for all the videos .etc before the season start so…yes.

I wouldn’t force yourself to play something you don’t enjoy.

Bots weren’t having enough fun bouncing off walls and spamming skills in a circle where there is nothing around. It was whispers last season, must be the only thing left they can rename and reuse. S9 should be fun…in the forums.

Whether you’d like to admit it or not - It is a nice change. Now at least other things can be done and not feel like a total idiot not leaving the you know the purple “space”

Seasonal content should enrich the game, not completely replace it, which maybe not so as creative as one might like, has done that

Now we need some “in between” events (like semi/seasonal if you like, with a few of them being harder than most) along with a few new types of mobs, and the dungeon rework (at least I hope they do this right) and we’re well set (at least for a bit)

You know, create a bit more features in the game for the masses instead of the top 3% or 5% that get to T4 (rushing over everything) and complete early

That’s what I thought as well. Its a bit hard to come back from the S7 witch-tide zone, almost feels like a drug withdrawal, but ultimately I think its much healthier for the game if other content actually matters ^^.
Apparition Incursions start ok, but get old very quickly. The bosses are actually pretty well designed, but you hardly ever see them doing stuff, obviously, due to all the players in the zone.
At some point you just stop doing them and its ok, you don’t have to.

Agreed, they should differ more a bit (be kinda different at torment at least)

Decent, but there’s some room for improvements I think… If anything for example I’d do the following 3 changes:

  • Perimeter damage penalty (AoE attacks doing less damage at the edges)
  • Greater stagger buildup (so that CC-based builds can stagger 3 times comfortably)
  • Enraged phase (not permanent to end of fight but temporary like 5-10 sec. one time thing when drop below 20-25% HP)

Any time is a good time to complain, even about you. No one is just realizing you are a troll, but good job bumping the tread.

I think S8 is encouraging me to revisit Last Epoch and Grim Dawn…hell, maybe even Titan Quest.

Lol, what ever dude. Just enjoy the game or don’t. If people like you are here to complain about everything I’ll be more then happy to tell them other wise if I do not agree. Simple as that. No idea how that constitutes to being a TROLL on a forum a person Likes to play the game for though. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Rhykker suggested on YT, that the bosses should have been random events in dungeons, like the Butcher but more frequently. I think that would have been a great addition. I’d keep some form of open-world event as well, though.
Btw, why does the Butcher have no boss power???!

They ran it through the ARPG Simulator 3000, and it said “More of this, please.” Devs don’t have time to play their own game, doncha know?

Yes, we are telling you this.

Good summary.
