Grim Dawn is ZZZZZZZ
So boring. Campaign is trash, quests are just text, no character customization, gear looks like garbage, bosses are boring.
D3 is better, let along D4.

Ahh the look and feel is not at all the same. GD is old and looks old. It is definitely fun the first time through it if you haven’t tried it at least and like arpgs though.
It’s an old and very basic game in the way it’s designed.
You are a sailor who has lived at sea for 30 years and you ask me for proof to prove whether the sea is wetter than the sand on the beach.
I could open both games, edit a video side by side, checking with numbers followed by an objective explanation of what physics and ragdolls are.
But with a minimal logical deduction it is clear to know that the sea is wetter than sand.
Grim Dawn is a very good game. I finished Ultimate difficulty on my witchblade a few months ago. But it’s also limited because they don’t do seasons so it’s just the campaign over and over.

No, I am not a sailor and we are not comparing proof of water or sand. You’ve already made it clear there’s no factual evidence to back up your fact but it’s simply your own logical deduction.
I am happy to know this is what your conclusion was based on, I do respect your opinion!
I think GD isn’t for everyone, it’s mostly for die hard ARPG fans who have played the most popular ARPGs and are looking for a new one to dive into between seasons.

As do I, let’s hope that you meet your ragdoll/physics match one day, until then, opinions shall stay opinions and we shall continue to enjoy MANY games.
Opinions will always be opinions.
Even those who think there are physics and ragdolls in D4 wolves and fallens which dies in the same death animation regardless of the hundreds of skills that are used.

I do agree, at least it seems like GD did a dang good job at their game, even if people don’t like certain things about it, overall it’s great and I am sure it’s going to go down as one of the best in its genre.
I don’t think Grim Dawn is a replacement for a game like D4, but I 100% think people should play it at least once if they like ARPGs.
Every other ARPG is giving at least 8 slots, so D4 having 6 really feels bad to me. I’ve thought about it some, and the #1 reason I’d swap to another ARPG instead of D4 is this fact. As a Necro, builds seem claustrophobic.
Even if they simply added an ‘ultimate’ button I’d be very glad. The chances of them changing something so fundamental is probably near 0% though, so at this point I just need to hope PoE 2 is good.
I’m currently enjoying D4, but I played D3 for a long time…and aside from GR spamming getting boring, I felt like every spec lacked depth. I understand that Blizzard wants D4 to be accessible to the largest playerbase possible, but I genuinely do not think adding an extra button for ultimates would be too much. So much hidden build potential…
Despite my guess that the chance is near 0%, I’ll keep asking for it until I stop playing. Really hope I don’t relapse back to Lost Ark, though…if only we had Lost Ark’s classes, D4’s world and PoE’s depth.

I’ve made multiple attempts to play GD. It doesn’t hold my interest for very long. I can’t figure out why cuz I don’t have that issue with Last Epoch or D3 or POE (admittedly i rarely play poe anymore).

When I first started playing I had the same issue, I’d get to a certain point in the story and I just wouldn’t care, I had to push myself to go further but once I did it really opened up and I made my character as dumb as possible so I was always on my toes.

I have played a bit of Grim Dawn and I would say it is comparable to D2 in feel. A bit better perhaps because it is a younger game. But I can’t take anyone seriously who thinks that is a better game than D4. Go play your Grim Dawn. We won’t miss you.

Give people 1-2 weeks to notice how empty this game really is. But that doesnt really matter. They will pre order the expansion pack next year too. They literally removed content to put in future updates or the next expansion. Its blizzard we are talking about.
