Whisper chests for materials, gems, and gold really need a buff. Probably won’t see that happening until Season 7. I think they are done with Season 6.

Yeah I am kind of disappointed with the gear and mats rewards on T4. Seems not much better than 3

The Legendary Masterworking Cache you get from Bartering in The Den gives you 40 Obducite.

Thanks for pointing it out—I hadn’t even noticed! I just grab that and the boss material caches every time.
The Boss Materials Cache ain’t that bad. At least half a summons worth of usually two different boss mats.

I’m running T3 and the Masterworking cache must be RNG of some range because I’ve noticed there were times I’m given other amounts, such as 44, 42, 39, as well as 40 obducite etc.
I wait till I have 3000-4000 coins, and always buy the Masterwork or Boss cache when they appear in the inventory, then refresh inventory and repeat till I’m out of coin.
I agree the Boss cache is probably a better value.
40 obducite is a spit in the face.
250 for a Greater Whisper Cache in T4 is also a spit in the face.

Yeah, I look for max aspect that way as well but it’s like 1 in 1,000M (See what I did there) chance.

You could have completed a tier 6 horde in the time it took to drop it. Yawn!!! Who thought it was fun to wait for whisper to drop stuff over 10 minutes?

In a 10 Horde in T4 I earn enough Aether for about 6-8k Obducite if I spend it all on that. So ideally yea, that’s what I should do, but that just proves how out of wack these “rewards” are. I mean, filling up Whispers, depending on the activities, can take about as long as Hordes. And the chance of rolling a Greater Materials Cache is very low, so shouldn’t the rewards be on par or better?
Yep. That was made very obvious by the lack of info in the campfire chat. They are doing the bare minimum to attempt to keep a few players around but their focus is 100% on S7 PTR and S7 launch. I understand that to an extent but I’ve never seen a live service game abandon their players mid season like this. It is what it is and this is just my opinion. Back to Destiny 2 for me.
Your mistake here is assuming being in T4 makes any difference to what you get

The rewards for Obducite are minuscule at best and aggravating
What ? With 2 caches , you can MW to lvl 4 and RESET it 2 times 
Your at the end of your journey with your character, your comfortably farming T4.
The reward makes more sense for fresh characters reaching 60.
With it they can masterwork a couple items to 4/12.
You broke the game, to quote Blizzard. So hats off.
Just do infernal hordes. its much quicker than getting 10 grims for whisper cache. you get 320(in T4) per stack and 6 or 7 stacks drop in 1 run.
I dont even know why cache are in the game, this game has become ridiclus, 99% of all my 3GA gear itmes has come frome Weekly Cache for Dark Cital.
This game is a jokke with all the cache, now days Diablo is not about farming and killing monsters, is to get everything frome cache, and if a cache dosent give engouts people complain.
Just remove all the dam cache frome the game and bring Diablo back to its core valute it has ben since Diablol 1 and 2 where you get you stuff frome killing and farming monsters.
Not as of todays valute get everything frome Gamling houses and Cache. Is Ridiclus.
Getting 40 Obducite frome a Cache is indeed 40 to many, becouse it did not come frome farming, is just free stuff.
If there is an increase in mats drop, you bet the mats requirement will be increase much more.
With more than a year in and 7 seasons, I think D4 needs a clean house. This team clearly has no clue what make a ARPG fun. They probably don’t even play themselves. They need to hire someone who also play the game to lead this.
