Just one hyped Eternal player testimonial... šŸ¤—

Great expectations on:
Paingorger’s Gauntlets - Omg, if they set the affixes right will be the first chance to get upgrade on my stabber build… :hugs:

Aspect of Adaptability - would this be enough to finally allow me to get rid of Puncture and go to Blade Shift? By the way, will farm until get a max rolled one!!!

Blade Shift Buffed!!! - again… would this be enough to finally allow me to get rid of Puncture and go to Blade Shift?

Stay tunned!!!

Don’t see too many positive posts from Eternal Players. I dare say this may be the first. You’re like a needle in a haystack that’s as tall as Mt. Everest. It’s refreshing to say the least. Good luck with finding your items and tuning your build. :+1:

The headache is the resource regen to be able to use higher damage resource based skills.
They can buff the other all they like but fundamentally unless they end up doing high damage so as not to need spenders or they generate alot more resource, then they will be ignored in favour of whatever generates the most resource if the build is based around spenders instead of cooldowns.

IMHO all the resource recovery needs a significant buff and all of these skills need to return a similar amount in practice, so skill that can only hit one mob return more per mob than those that can hit multiple so as to make all viable.

Theorycrafting: I am thinking on just ā€œmarkā€ with flurry (one cast will be enough) and after explode the entire pack by echoing while devastating a single mob… BladeShift has a ton of lucky hit, so, I will be allowed to get a bit more triggers on Victimize and my Andy.

My only fear is that we don’t know yet if this glove will be also allowed to be target farmed and which afixes it will have. :crossed_fingers:

EDIT: There are other tests to be done (lots of fun), as if maybe I will benefit of switching from combopoints to inner sight (since I will be most time single targeting with the fast stabs). Do not know if lose the Flurry attack speed combo bonus will be a good trade of.

Best of luck with making a solid Basic Rogue build.

I tried in S2 - the Vamp Powers made Puncture a machine gun.
Killed all the Ubers(except Lilith) with it and could sustain through a Vampire Siphon(no Andy’s). Was super fun.
When they released the Band of Trickery as our Classes Malignant Ring vs the Vile Apothecary I just lost interest.

In S3 it might just be viable with the items you listed - I’m theorycrafting based on the Construct ofc.
I wish you the best of luck and fun times! If you discover something that works well and/or get positive results, please post it in the Rogue sub!

Probably when I start to play at night the build will be already on Maxroll or in some streamer video (also improved with some season sinnergy), if not I will post. By the way, I am leveling my Chip glyph today since Blade Shift does not get any imbue bonuses.

I wish they put more activities in the game for you guys.

Yea good point.
In fact I know Xarrio will certainly mess around with Basic X Rogue.
He made a really cool build with Puncture and Andy’s. Sadly X’fals is bugged with Puncture and PestPoints. It will barely ever proc. Huge hit there with potential AOE.

The changes to both Alchemist Aspects don’t require Cold or Poison to function now - just scale off of enemies affected by Chill/Poi…if you can find a way to apply Shadow - maybe DT and Poison Trap/Penitent Greaves.
You’d get lots of AOE.

side note - I’ve said this before: I was disappointed Pestilent Points was limited to Puncture, the already favored skill to begin with made even stronger - if they’d allowed ALL Rogue Basic skills then we’d see a lot more diversity and possibility, let alone use of other Basics.

Killing ubers with a rogue is not an issue. Killing them quickly enough (few seconds per kill) to make farming them hundreds of times tolerable is.

Oh for sure haha. Wasn’t ā€˜efficient’ at all.
Decent for farming, but not a record breaker.
Just had fun with Vamp Powers and Basic Rogue.
Sadly it can only be amped up and ramp up so high.
The new gloves and Aspect should be fun to mess around with though.
Will it shine? Unlikely, but it’s different and fun all the same.

UPDATE: Thank you @PezRadar by pointing the target!

Getting ready to farm a ton of Distilled Fear (something I can start today ), by the way from game bosses I think Beast of Ice is one of the the most interesting fights (with a non-meta/non-one-shot build of course).

Questions if anyone knows:

  • Does anyone knows the rate of distilled fear drop? On my exp is around 30% is this correct?
  • Does NMD levels (starting from 30, 40, 50…) increase distilled fear drop rate?

LOL, Duriel will take a vacation from my stabs, BoI is this season’s ā€œD2 Mephistoā€.
