Just look at the necro skill tree..... wtf?

0 darkness corpse or macabre skills
Only 2 curses
0 darkness ultimate
2 blight/blood core skills but only 1 bone

Too many passives, too little abilities…

Yikes dunno how long I will play this class. Bone spear seems fun so far tho

Greed, Ferguson made sure Game Pass functions, made sure the Store is functioning, rest is just throwing stuff to the wall, see what sticks. Sadly, the game is a success in one area, it made them money.

Today, I noticed the music, so we shall see, I turned down all the noise, I want to focus on the music of this game, see if this helps. The non stop blowing up noises gets old.

Barb sounds more up your alley.

What are you smoking on this?
Darkness Skill:

  • Blight is probably the 3rd best build right now (going to get shredded in s5)
  • Sever looks like it’ll be good in s5
  • Blood Wave, which an aspect turns into darkness, is going to be good in s5 and is okay in s4

Macabre/Corpse Skills:

  • Yeah, this is lacking. It is basically, offensively, Corpse = Corpse Explosion which has been left behind outside of just being a proc effect for the Paragon board and then Macabre does have Necro’s best build in Bone Spirit (s4 & probably s5) but you certainly think of it more as a Bone skill

Yeah, I’d prefer that to be more like D2

See above on Blood Wave. If you focus on it it’ll become a darkness skill so you can use the darkness buffs with it

Sure, core, but Bone Spirit is the best bone build. The “Core” stage means about nothing on Necromancer. Also, you can see the “core” tag on abilities outside of the core tree area when they did the rebalancing and… Bone Spirit has that tag

Only 1 summoning skill that is an ultimate. :face_holding_back_tears: No basic/core/mastery/deffensive summoning skills.

D4 necro is an insult to necro and necro players.

Every build shares same 4 abilities, there are even 2 builds using 5 same abilities…

Not sure how that is much of an issue. I just wish the summoning key passive was a lot better. Edict is just lackluster.

How to start Necro:

  • Corpse Tendrils
  • Blood Mist (once you push enough)
  • Decrepify
  • Ultimate

Necro has any alone with this problem. Every class is locked into 3-4 skills regardless of build. Druid locked into pets, Sorc locked into defensive skills and teleport, barbarian 1-2 shouts, 1-2 mobility skills and WoTB, rogue needs dark shroud and plus 2 mobility skills even if you use the aspect that generates dark shrouds because you have to out points in to get max benefits. Even the paragon boards and glyphs are almost all alike with maybe a different glyph priority depending on which flavor you decide to play.

Build variety is lacking in this game because we are locked into a small handful of choice once you reach the endgame.

I’m sure every class has this problem, sorry if I made it seem otherwise. Only other class I could really speak from personal experience would have been Sorc.

Skill trees worse than most moba games tbh lol.

it is actually easy.

  1. Raise skeles, afk in helltide for 10 hours get lvl 100
  2. Sacrifice skeles and golem, get blood mist and bone spirit and backstab people in PvP

id also like to add bone storm, which can become a darkness ultimate with the aspect.

?? Your post is confusing, do you know what darkness is?

Necro has bone/blood/minion/darkness skills. Every skill/key passive fits one of these.

We get no darkness oriented corpse/macabre skills, or ultimate.

You read my post but failed to see the point of it.

Also only two curses… ??? Iron Maiden is so f’ing bad they reworked it for S5.

It sounded like you broke each one up as in no darkness abilities, macabre abilities, or corpse abilities (assuming it was of note obviously).

Yes, there is no Darkness Ultimate baseline which is ridiculous. Blood Wave Ultimate can be made into a Darkness skill to benefit from all the scaling in the Darkness passives. For s4 that is focused on DoTs and is an “okay” build but in s5 it seems like it’ll be a very good build and focused on overpower (which works better anyways for the build).

As I said - I do wish it was more like D2 where we had a bunch of curses to mess with. Hell with s5 you may not even really mess with the curses at all and have it passively triggering through an aspect

I guess if you are just copying other peoples builds…

Don’t listen to anyone stick with bone spear.

Im torn between that and blight. I like the minion-less necro builds.

ALL GAS NO BRAKES UNGABUNGA MAXIMUM ACTION YEEEEEE

I mean who doesn’t love that :eye::lips::eye:

I have each class at 100 this season since it takes two shakes of a nerfed sorcs wand to hit 100.

Barb is a fun, powerful class.

Same with rogue. The others are lmao.

No argument here, we all have our preferences. More importantly are you enjoying yourself?
