Just got to WT4, best way to get WT4 Sigils?

UPDATE: Thanks all, I’ve got the WT4 sigils now. Keeping the post in case it helps others.

Any advice please on;

  1. I have a load of WT3 Sigils, do people generally throw them away once in WT4?
  2. What’s the best way to get WT4 Sigils? Just general events, quests, dungeons?

Thanks. Oh, I don’t have a quest yet for Sigil crafting. Maybe I didn’t do enough WT3 NM dungeons.

you don’t throw them away.

You have to complete one NM dungeon of Tier 3 or higher to unlock the Sigil crafting quest. You go to the enchanter in kyovashad and you can salvage all your low level/unwanted sigils for dust which you use to craft higher level sigils.

The Nightmare sigils drops from nightmare dungeons, you will get more then you can carry!

Crafting and the tree will give sigils at a higher tier now.

Fun fact, the quest itself is useless since you need sigil crafting to do it and technically, you unlock it at the same time as the quest starts.

So you never have to do the quest as far as I can see :smiley:

Trouble is, I’ve only had tier 1 and 2 drop, so I guess I can’t get the quest / unlock the skill.
Maybe a tier 3 will drop from events, I’ll keep trying.

Saying that, now that I’m in WT4 (at level 66, now 67), I’m not even sure I can handle a NM dungeon!! :wink:

Sigils drop from all sorts of end game stuff. Legions, World Boss, Tree of Whispers Bounty and chests in Helltide. Can drop from mobs in Nightmare dungeons too and should drop at least two for completing a NM dungeon I think.

Best way to get a tier 3 sigil is from a tier 2 sigil. Though in your case the easier would be just to play some more WT4 stuff until you drop a tier 21 from there.

A Teir2 NM dungeon is very likely to drop a Tier3 Sigil.

You can definitly handle it. the mobs in Tier3 are level 57. If you’re coping in WT4 you can probably handle Tier21 or close to it.

Yeah, I’m handling mobs so far in WT4, Helltide was a bit crazy, I think the mobs were level 73 (I was 66 at the time). There was a lot of kiting (and falling down dead) involved but great fun. :slight_smile:

Welcome to endgame, now rinse and repeat what you have been doing 9 million times.
It probably starts out exciting, i remember having fun reaching Wt4 as a lvl 63, worked my way up to 73 and now the game feels completed. Just kidding, glad ur enjoying the game unlike many others :rofl:

No, I get what you mean. I’m sure it will become a lot less fun at some point.
Hopefully Blizzard will implement a lot more end game systems to keep things interesting.

Do a few NM dungeons and you will get the unlocking of sigil crafting at the occultist. You can also salvage your WT3 sigils there.

To get new sigils, you can find them in Helltide from a chest, or turn in World Tree T4 quests for level 21 sigils (drop rate will vary and is not guarenteed), craft them, or find them in WT4 NM dungeons.
