One simple suggestion to solve stash space. Just give us the following eight fixed stash tabs with the following categories per character (toon).
- Helm
- Chest
- Glove
- Pants
- Boots
- Necklace
- Rings
- Weapons
Move all the aspects to the Codex. Have a shared tab that can be accessed by all toons. And we will manage from there.

because no one puts elixirs in stash?

That honestly sounds horrible. Like I use mine by class to stockpile gear. I don’t want it broken down by gear slot like that so everything is all jumbled together nah I’m good

The current one on the individual toon should be adequate. Or can add one called “Misc” for the rest of the items. So that will make it nine.
i dont even need any extra tabs. heck when they move aspects to the codex and summoning mats to materials page definitely dont need more stash space at all

I was saying fixed personal stash tabs for individual toon. These will not be shared across toons. There will be one that can be used to share gears and what not.
I’d rather all the tabs be individual per character, with one shared tab to transfer stuff between toons. You’re only playing one character at a time so I’m not sure how this would damage servers.

The amount of stash should be designed for:
- eternal / hardcore
- for a person running all classes and relevant (s / a tier) builds
- enough for a set of back up pieces for at least 1 build per class.
- consumables (matts incense, extra dungeon sigils, etc)
- cover the pool of each unique in the game
- have a bit extra for expansion and more gear to come.
- have a bit extra to store extra rares in preparation for rolling multiple pieces.
*8) keep in mind this is ASSUMING we don’t need to hold aspects / if you need to hold aspects you might as well double everything.
This covers the continuum of play and playstyles I expect D4 to cater to.
Note, this has nothing to do with hoarding, it is a practical approach to providing enough stash space for people who play all classes AND theorycraft.

Horrible idea. Dont tell me wut to put in mah chests
get outta here with that “toon” nonsense, wowjunky
I’ll be honest, I used to want more tabs, now I just want an arpg that isn’t a consistent cash grab and boring empty content like this Diablo franchise knockoff.

woah waoh woah…, don’t give everyone more memory leaks pls…,
i would also like more stash tabs but…, if the return is more memory leaks then currently in the game? oh helll nah
8 stash tabs works for me. But they should be namable by the player, not forced into those 8 categories.
I would definitely love more stash tabs! Even if they streamline the item stats and put the aspects in the Codex, it would STILL not be enough for me due to my propensity for “collecting” stuff, LOL
Personally, i think we have enough stash tabs. But i believe they need to be reworked.
Make 4 of current stash tabs character only so that mules can be made if needed. Take the remaining stash tabs and make them “shared” between characters so that gear transfers can happen.
Right now we have 10 character slots, so making mule characters is less effective now, than doing it how it has been suggested above (and by others).
I think this solution would make most people happy (those that find we have enough and those who say we don’t).
They can keep the same seasonal vs eternal the way it is still.

Most people playing seasons or meta build only have no issues with stash.
This really only affects eternal players, theorycrafters, and those playing 3 or more classes with build variety. Altogether this might be 5 percent of the playing population? Maybe?
I’m barely managing 5 with some difficult choices. I played 4 characters this season.
My first page ends up being a shared elixir/ material pool plus the uniques related to that class as well as equipment 2-3 desirable stats with decent enough rolls to be an actual upgrade for when the occultist prices get out of hand.
Second page is those aspects relating to the current class I am focusing on. Third page is global aspects across all classes. I will keep multiple maxed or near maxed rolls of affixes on both, again because bricking an item at the occultist when costs get in the 20 million range per roll is a thing. Also for global aspects it’s nice to have a few ready to go on a fresh character for quick and easy leveling.
Tab 4 becomes the overflow tab for aspects for my alts when I have got what I wanted from a class I stash a different build or 3 worth of aspects there for testing later.
Tab 5 is the unique item overflow tab. This is where I keep my best rolls of all class specific uniques regardless of whether I will use them or not. I also keep my extra global uniques here provided they have solid enough rolls to be used. It’s nice to be able to hit lv80 on a new class and slot in 3 uniques even if they aren’t at a maximum roll.
My stash space is taken by 75% aspects that I am saving for one purpose or another. If they move those to the codex than all of my storage problems disappear overnight and I would be able to easily play all classes in a season without having to play inventory management when switching between them. As it stands now 1 of my 4 characters is also a mule for its own unique gear and aspects. It’s a unique dependent build and can’t get the one it needs to make it work, but can get great rolls of Flickerstep and tibaults every single time.
If the devs can clean up mats and aspects, and they need to if they plan on adding more to the game, than stash space is a non issue.
personally i just think that instead of the current 5 shared stash tab :
Every character should have 4 personal stash tab
and the 5th would be the shared one
end of story : it doesn’t need to be more complex than that.
This is the way.
At least a couple dedicated personal stash tabs. No idea how they thought it was a great idea to make the whole thing shared.
