of a stat that you’d find on a legendary or w/e.
Blue items can be those items when you need to significantly boost up your str/dex/will/int to make those breakpoints on your paragon board - or you want to get a huge jump in lucky hit or crit etc but sacrifice many other stats by wearing a blue item.
Then you might say well too much loot then that is why we need a loot filter.
That would not be enough to make them useful though.
Give them a chance to have GA versions of some of the unique / out of slot affixes on uniques that use the same item slot.
Then make rune crafting recipes that let you include a GA blue to make an ancestral version of the unique that keeps the GA affix (and can roll others).
Let’s just say that GAs should not have been “gated” to just Legendaries and Uniques, in fact should probably be OMITTED in Legendaries (if anything IMO)
Either that or make Ancestrals tempered only once, or even introduce a new mechanic that non-Tempered items can get something (perhaps a random GA and an additional Socket slot)
But the devs just wanna put “all eggs in that one basket” lol, the strongest things have to have the most opportunities to be EVEN MORE stronger
I never really understood the need of that “top tier heavy” i.e. top-tier-centric approach
all good ideas, but before u attempt such cool stuff, we needs Stash space and bigger inventories -.- . or all things that involves keeping more stuff in storage are doomed to fail.
I think they need to give use to the blue and yellow items, I don’t see any point in the changes they make where they always leave other things obsolete instead of making adjustments to them as well.
yellows and blues having value made sense 20 years ago when people played at a snail’s pace and you’d loot maybe a few items every couple hours lol. not sure if you’ve played diablo 4 or any ARPG in the last 15 years because even in PoE you can reach level 90 in 1 day, even with strict loot filter, stash tab affinities, etc there is so much half-useless crap to click and loot and deposit into your stash that it actually makes the game unenjoyable. and within a couple hours of starting a new season on D4, legendaries and uniques rain down on you like no tomorrow.
once you get a full set of GA items + 8/12 masterwork and have done some tormented bosses, acquiring 2-3 mythic uniques (shouldn’t take more than 12-16 hours of gameplay) you are essentially finished the game and have a completed character and are now exclusively fishing for additional GA to marginally improve your character, while not providing any real access to any new content, just giving you access to higher scaling mobs.
point is, in today’s fast pace world staring at loot is literally the most boring thing ever and the number of people that actually want to play 200, 300, 500 hours every season is probably less than 1% of the population.
Or just get rid of white and blue items all together, have rares drop from level 1, and legendaries start to drop at level 20. Rares stop dropping once you reach Penitent difficulty. Problem solved.
It took almost a whole year for them to improve on our hoarding problems (by moving aspects to the codex) and now some of you want to hoard on blue items…
