Is that it, really? This felt more like season content than an expansion. The new area feels exactly like the old ones, the story is underwhelming and so very poorly written, it’s short, it’s boring. Why did I pay for this exactly? What a bummer…

You’ve paid for the new class and runes. Sadly, you’re right, the story in the expansion is a big letdown.

I think we can all agree the story was way too short. There shoud have been another act with a final prime evil boss. The cliffhanger approach doesnt work with a paid expansion. There needs to be a pay off story wise and a fight with Mephisto or one of the prime evils would have accomplished that.

You paid for:

  1. New class
  2. New overworld zone
  3. New mechanics: mercenaries, runes
  4. New activities: Kurst undercity, multiplayer thing whose name I can’t remember
  5. A surprisingly short and underwhelming story expansion.

Probably should have been a $20 expansion.

if blizzard advertised it as paying $40 to kill Mephisto’s puppy, no one would buy it.

it’s marginally business fraud to scam the public.
