Just did some Sigil runs with a Caster Druid, Pulverize-Companion feels bad

He was a mere 6 levels above me (89/95), with no uniques or masterworking. Good gear certainly, but nothing out of the ordinary. We ran Tier 67 Sigils - he was throwing out lightning & tornadoes from safely across the room, plus a barrier. When he needed spirit, his Wind Shear appeared to have 3 or 4 projectiles; he needed only cast twice, and then rarely.

Meanwhile, I’m sitting there with my Bear armor/health/fortify, spending as much as 5 seconds poking the boss with Maul before running away, b/c getting that close required my Shout and 2 potions. Then and only then can I use Pulverize a few times. I have buffed & combo’d my Companions pretty darn well, if I do say so myself. The Wolf passive which gives +25% against cc’d targets has nearly 100% uptime. Yet they barely made a scratch. Ravens are arguably more useful b/c they apply Vulnerable.

I’ve always known Druid is the forgotten child, but this was straight up depressing.

Druid - Play as a Sorcerer in a fursuit or gtfo.

I just want to play a werewolf that Shreds at mach 5 and be halfway viable :frowning:

yeah this class really does need a rework. it is slow, tedious and annoying to play and watch timers and buffs etc, bug ridden… like come on…

I agree with you all. They force druids into a play style that not everybody likes. You either squishy or low dps or both. I started to play my lightning storm build from last season because the builds those streamers and maxroll guys put are trash. Now i can clear content with the triple effort of necro does casually. This is ridiculus. You just have to play a spirit hungry tornado if you want to kill lilith and with that you need god roll items. or maybe im too bad at playing this class. i dont know.

Glad to hear it’s not just me. And it’s not a lack of combos or grind investment on my part - I have 3 paragon boards with all the non-basic nodes (yes all of them - rare/magic/ultimate on 3 boards), working on the 4th. At level 89, 11 more paragon points will not make a difference. Melee Druid is simply not good enough for the endgame (sounds like Caster Druid is just as convoluted, though that produces results to a degree).
