I've just got banned, not sure why?

Long time Diablo player (1993), and my D4 Account has been banned! Just got to Lev 300; I was farming Duriel…And that was it! I am off!

I have appealed…Hope it was a mistake!

you should have received an email that tells you the category of your ban. For example, “exploiting” etc.

Appealing via support ticket is the right way to go. So far there has been 1 Ban wave i know of, where a program lead to false flaggings. these bans have been reversed of course. So, its rare, but mistakes for sure can happen.

Also, usually when you got banned its not about something you recently did. Usually its in a timeframe from 1-2 months ago.

So yea, if you didnt do anything wrong, like using 3rd party programs, macros, rmt, etc etc etc (check the ToS), you should be fine, as your ban will be manually checked.

Note: dont forget that its the weekend. Im not sure how their staff looks like on weekends, but chances are you will have to wait til monday.

Thank you Guys, but really! I was playing, some player whispers: Ban; the rest his history!

As Nyurei said, bans are not immediate due to the most recent events. Accounts are flagged well in advance, then there’s a ban wave that happens periodically. Obviously there are some false positives, but sounds like you’ve already taken the necessary steps. Good luck.

Dang, druid is the true hardcore endgame.

It’s also Christmas week… don’t be surprised if nothing happens til the following monday.

Posting about disciplinary actions is against the TOS of the forums so you probably want to delete this post before people swoop in and you get banned from here as well

Good luck with your appeal though! See you in Sanctuary

There have been a number of false positive bans since D4 started. Now you may not remember, but people were actually being banned at launch for trading too much gold to one another.

Well known streamers who received gifts of gold from their followers were being auto banned. Not to mention a few off cases in the forums where people have said they appealed and were told it was a false ban, then they were given access back to their account.

Don’t always assume that Blizzard is right in these cases. Although I would say the majority of bans are correct.

There’s been more than a few cases of ‘false positives’ in D4 where bans have been reversed.

Their detection methods are too aggressive and scan for things it shouldn’t be scanning for. Be it 3rd party programs that have absolutely nothing to do with the D4 executable or some attempt to catch prolific exploiters that are doing things such as duping.

Just for the sake of clearing this up. Posting about an ingame ban isnt an issue. Infact, the Support Tickets even direct you to the forums, incase such bans dont get reversed.

As for the forum rules, its only forbidden to post about deleted threads.

Wait, you started playing the original Diablo nearly 4 years before it came out? How in the world?

This is the intriguing detail that went under the radar… Someone whispered “Ban” to you right before the ban? So… it suggests someone reported you for saying something egregious in chat, or for doing something exploity in a very visible way?

Kind of a funny way to imply whatever culture you’re from encourages low IQ low filter discourse. :stuck_out_tongue:

He might be a Condor employee… making this ban an extra saucy scandal with a lot of lore attached.

Maybe try less racism the next time you feel the need to inflict yourself on a thread.

Whisper=I was farming Duriel, no chats, no swearing
Thanks for the people that commented.

No, it was released in 1996 (or 1997 if you wanna get really technical about it). Where are you getting 1993 from?

Mate, I am 63…got confused, thank you for correcting me but.
