It's not a exploit!

What is wrong with some of you!! A exploit is when you knowingly take advantage of a manipulated part of the game to gain something. Running helltides and opening chests, like you would ANY other day, is not exploiting!!

For example, if we found out that if you ran around the helltide chests 30 times in a perfect circle, it would drop a shako, yes, I agree, exploit. But this was just a increased chance to drop a super unique from the chest, no exploit needed, you literally just play the game and open the chest.

Stop asking for people’s shako’s to be returned and stop calling it a exploit! And no, I dont have one, I just think its ridiculous you want other players to have theirs removed and calling them cheaters, essentially, for literally opening helltide chests like they do any other day. Grow up.

It’s a bug, and if you are aware of it and keep on doing it, i guess it’s an exploit?
If you are not aware of it, it’s still a bug and has to be corrected for.

Agree to disagree. Most players arent watching youtube at all times to see Rob’s video to be made aware of it, most players just run helltides for the annoying forgotten souls needed. I am sure some/lots did know the chances were higher but a lot just opened chests. Even the 75 resource helm chests were dropping them

Again, not knowing it’s a bug doesn’t mean it doesn’t have to be corrected for

An exploit is an Exploit. Next.

I dont see the value in a roll back. This isnt a competitive game, pvp doesnt matter, theres no leader boards. who cares.

They should correct this, but I doubt they will.

But why? What value does it serve to take the items away in non season? With no leaderboards? Those players can kill monsters faster? So what?

Then why did Blizzard instantly disable it?
If it is no biggy they could have simply let it going while working on a fix so everyone can join the fun.

If it doesn’t matter, you shouldn’t have a problem with a rollback.

I agree it was a bug, I disagree players exploited a mechanic by opening helltide chests as we do everyday.

I oddly dont care if people have shiny stuff and i dont

Why cant those players have nice things?

Respect, people made YouTube videos telling everyone to exploit it. Don’t be stupid.

i m fine with that under 1 condition if they dont remove all shakos they have to reenable uber uniques with the same drop chances for everyone otherwise this is massivly unfair

also yea maybe its true that 1-2 persons got this by accident but the vast majority of people normaly doesnt farm helmet chests in a helltide at 3am most of them(btw including me) did it in the hope to get a shako cause they saw it one a video

Agreed. As a practicing software engineer I can say a bug by anyother name is still a bug with apologies to sir William. Bugs are always fixed or at least the attempt is made LOL

Not everyone watches youtube while playing D4 though. Dont be stupid.

It’s a slippery slope and you’re right to the uninformed it’s a lucky thing to the informed (streamers, mega gamers and the masses who watch them play and stream) YES it was an obvious exploit to call on everyone to quickly take advantage of the situation.

If you’re just the poor fool who doesn’t pay attention and doesn’t care what others say to do and you pulled a shako from a chest last night GRATS to you!! But if you got it from watching them farm specifically that item using a Barb or Sorc and had no interest in logging in prior to that… I’d say that’s a classic example of exploitation.

Because it’s a bug and shouldn’t have happened.

Did I claim everyone? Nice strawman!
