stats feel clunky to me…I’m trying to follow guides on maxroll and it seems like my damage has stayed the same for at least 8 levels even though I’ve gotten “upgrades”. I’m 72 and my durid’s tornado’s hit on average for 20-30k and sometimes 40k orange hits. NM dungeons that are only 3 levels higher than my current level feel brutal to me.
Tornado, crit dmg, crit chance vuln dmg core skill dmg, i believe there is a storm crit damage stat aswell but i could be wrong…lots of willpower and dex for dmg and crit
Idk what most druids are doing but i run 3 defensives and it made a world of difference with my nature fury shred build
Also .5 armor stacking aspect, basic DR%, fortify is very helpful…resistances overall are pretty worthless, armor is king.
You should be targeting ancestral gear with optimal stat rolls. “Optimal” varies by class/build so pay attention to the guide. However, because you can hit WT4 so early and leveling is so slow, it is very possible you are near BiS even by 72.
Also - don’t forget that a major source of power is the glyphs you level in NM dungeon. This is especially important because as you level, so do the mobs, so if you aren’t replacing gear often - you will feel weaker without those glyph upgrades.
Oh and if you need to do “easier” NM dungeons, go craft some keys, then for some reason you need to swap to WT3 to run them. Do this to upgrade those glyphs until 21+ feels doable.
yes these are the stats I’m aiming for however I seem to be getting an excess of Overpower gear and somehow have 350% that I need get rid of…that’s the hard part though…getting gear that’s actually helpful for my spec
Generally for gear i aim for 3 affix stats on a piece of gear that pass as useable, like they increase my damage somehow and the 4th can be whatever as it can be changed and aspect or not, doesnt matter that pretty much always gets changed. Other than armor and weapon the item power level as long as its at like 730 or something doesnt matter to much because at 5 upgrades it will be about as strong as something at 820.
Weapon is a pretty big exception to this because weapon base damage is a pretty big deal. That being said you dont want a 820 2 hander for your druid with stuff that doesnt assist your build in any meaningful way…like werebear or werewolf crit damage or overpower or ult damage, if you’re a nado chucker.
Honestly, it’s kind of dumb how they did breakpoints. Ancestral gear with high armor and your aspects. Ancestral 2 hander unless you are lucky hit focused. And after you are in full 725, you cherry pick ideal stats on gear with main stat and critical damage being king. It is very reminiscent of Diablo 3’s launch with everyone running around wearing skorn but this time it is two handed greatswords…
My lowest piece of gear was my chest. It was 784, but it had an elite proc dps shield above 5K and a percentage of bonus armor. I got an 812 item level earlier and it had some nice stats but no % of bonus armor. So, I re-rolled it’s one bad stat about five times and finally got the % of bonus armor to proc, woo! Then, I ripped the shield off the old one and stuck it on the new. Worth it!
yes this…
I noticed after leveling my glyphs a little and getting more of the important nodes my damage did go up noticeably. I still haven’t gotten any real upgrades from the time I started this post but my power did go up because of the paragon points/glyphs.
