Hello. Not sure if it was a hack, bug or what happened but I was playing diablo 4 and I picked up a random item I have not seen on the ground in the city by where you change the difficulty. It was called “Villager’s Remains”. When I picked it up it made my game screen go black and I couldn’t see anything. I restarted and when I logged back in my 3 different mythic uniques were missing. I tried to relog and what not but nothing seemed to work. Please help. This makes me very sad. I had a 4 GA ring I just made.
I also just changed the difficulty and was also just invited to a party and was switching to their world so not sure if either of those things had anything to do with it.
Is there a way to contact blizzard at all for diablo? I play wow and can make tickets for that but don’t see that for diablo. Please, anyone
EDIT: I keep relogging every so often and the gems I had in my gear just reappeared in my bag…

Literally just happened to me, after picking up the remains - ring gone, tunic gone. They were by where you change difficulty, and after I changed difficulty, game froze. Think I’m done with this game unless these items can be restored.

I thought I got hacked or something, no idea what was going on. Really hope this gets fixed or I probably won’t have it in me to keep going.

Hey, that’s what happened to me. I picked it up and my game crashed too. Someone up to no good for sure.

Was anything missing for you?
Seriously, took me so long to get those items and masterwork them. I noticed that two of my grand gems were in my inventory - one was from the missing ring I believe and the other was randomly removed from my pants. Something is seriously glitched or there is a hack going on.
Don’t even want to think about regrinding for these items, I’m logging off.

My ancestral mythic helm, an ancestral unique gloves and and an ancestral boots along with an emerald gem from a 1 hander. This has to be a hack. I advise anyone reading this not to pick up those ““Villager’s Remains”” lying around in town.

Just logged back in to see if anything else was missing, and there’s more “Villagers’ Remains (3)” on the ground by my chest. Starting to think this is indeed a hack, and if I picked them up, more gear would disappear.
Yea it must be, this is too weird and very unfortunate
I created a ticket under the “Crashes” category - I’d advise you to as well. Probably zero chance these get restored however, and it’s totally destroyed any trust I have in the game.

Yeah, but I’m not expecting anything. I’ve been logging back in to try to get a screenshot of the items on the ground, and I just found one: i.imgur[DOT]com/fDXxTJm.jpeg (replace [DOT] with .)
When I picked them up the first time there were multiple though. I’m just going to leave my character as-is, and hope something can be done. My motivation is gone, and I could accidentally pick one of these things up when playing and lose even more gear potentially.

I have the same problem. Picked up the items in Kyovashad, game crashed, logged in again and items and gems are gone 
just happened to me, game didnt crash though, but the only way to get rid of them is trying to teleport out of town and they will instantly drop but i guess theyre somehow a universal item, cause as soon as they hit the ground another player next to me picked them up!
That’s what happened to me. I picked it up and my game crashed too and i lost my gear…
This happened to me last night around 1120 pm CST in Kyovashad around the Torment change tree, i picked up on to check it out because i thought it was a quest item. I tried to swap to Torment 4 and game screen went black then the server crash verbiage popped up. Logged back in and my 2 GA maxed Fists of Fate were gone as well as both my maxed 1 GA full tempered Rings were gone…
