Itemization & aspects should have been the driving force to play the game. But here is how I feel about the 2 game mechanics
- Loot
The loot feels so generic that you don’t feel any attachment to the items. I also get hardly a better item…and that at level 80. And with “better” I do not mean necessarily “more powerful” but items which have cool abilities.
Destroying 28472462464 legendaries doesn’t make the feel “legendary” at all. In fact, I destroyed less white gear than precious legendaries
Find the mistake…
- Aspects
The idea to have aspects to specialize yourself or give your build a new option is pretty nice. Unfortunately. there is a “but”. I wanted to a build the Ultimate Darkness Aspect. I cannot count how many legendaries have dropped between I got this aspect and now. I get a crapload of bone skill and minion skills on items which I wouldn’t use anyway.
Why not have the possibility to convert a legendary aspect to your tome, just as a lesser version of the original.
Sure, I can imprint the aspect…but just one time. And it looks as if my next Ultimate Darkness drop is happening once in a blue moon.
It is stupid to have such aspects with abilties which can be a major factor in a build, have such a ridiculous low drop rate.
Aspect of the Void is equally ridiculous. It dropped ONCE during 70 level. ONCE! What a f* up bad game design is that? Sure, I do not need it necessarily but how is a casual gamer ever supposed to get these aspects together? Leveling other characters is crap as well because you have to through the ridiculousness again. And keeping aspects…well, with such a low stash number…good luck with that.
Seriously, the core game mechanics of this game are just not well thought out.
I wonder if others have the same issues with itemization and aspects designs
