Item Enchanting problem - Losing materials

When you enchant an item to replace the affix, you are unable to look at your stats in your character sheet to see what would be most beneficial. If you click anything on the screen, you lose the enchant options, including the gold and items you spent to enchant the item and you get nothing. If you accidentally click another tab while looking at the enchants, it will also remove your chance and take all of your items.

You should be able to compare and contrast without having to worry about losing the option. There should be a window that stops you from losing the enchant that says something along the lines of “Are you sure you want to cancel the enchant?”

I agree this happened to a few of us which leaves a sour taste when one wants to investigate the stat or ability prior to choosing the new affix.

There needs to be a window pop-up that says “You are about to lose your affix, would you like to continue?” or something similar. It then costs 5x-10x as much gold as the first time plus the enchant material lost… for someone just starting out it’s a big loss and ruins the experience.

There are so many abilities and stats people have to have a way to check while trying to make a choice. I got an affix that said 1+ all conjuring abilities and I was trying to remember what all of those abilities were… and when I tried to check on my abilities it closed the window without giving me a chance to pick an option.

Please, fix this Blizzard, thank you.

This is still an issue 8/17/2023. Very annoying since you lose your enchanting items. What a waste and bad UI design!
It was initially 80k but now I can try again for 400k and more materials but only on the same affix.

Another dumb thing is even with advanced tool tips on, when you look at the offered affixes it doesn’t show you the range, so there’s no way to tell if something is a good roll or not without accepting it first.

Yeah…the first time I did affixes(or rather the first time it got expensive) I didnt know that’s how it worked. I thought it would lock in until confirmed.

I’d already rerolled a couple times (i.e. 6-7 digit reroll range) and tried to recheck my current stats. I thought I just misremembered what I was rerolling. Ended up wasting around 3 mil.

It doesnt help that it’s so easy to accidentally click out.

Just typing here to revive this and see if they gonna do something about it
