Am I the only one? I see people online and through Trade chat trading HUNDREDs of BAC runes and Grand Diamonds, literally one guy said he had unlimited BAC runes, and it’s obviously being obtained through some exploit or glitch. It’s really killing my motivation to play the game when I’m trying to save up enough Gold to buy runes to craft just 1 Mythic, while other plays have unlimited resources.
Duping is super frustrating, but if its detrimental to your play just leave trade chat.
As long as trade exists so will RMT/dupes. Thankfully mythics are uncommon at best and runes are rarer but not that rare. Convert all your runes because if your doing boss latter you wont have a shortage of runes to convert.
Total I got 20 bac runes this season but the majority was from converting runes. I also did a few hundred bosses.
I see the point you make @Sketch and @Lazyloaf, but the duping also affects the market for people that don’t dupe.
For example, a near perfect amulet for necros is going for 99b Gold + hundreds of bac runes/grand diamonds on websites where people sell their items, which is the only viable place to buy items since the trade chat is dog **** in this game as it only communicates to a small population of the people playing the game.
99b Gold + hundreds of bac runes/grand diamonds is out of the realm of possibility for 99% of us.
Everything is common or uncommon outside of 3 & 4 GA items. You dont need to even engage trading.
This season was so short you could prob just ask if people have any extras. Ive already given tons of runes to people.
Legendary Runes are rare. Bosses are giving almost just as many Mythics as Legendary Runes.
You have been lucky with you 20 BAC Runes because it seems they are the ones most players are looking for. I can imagine others having only a couple BAC but many from a different type.
I agree that the most efficient way to get Legendary Runes is probably conversion. It can take a bit of time but it is not impossible for anyone to get 6 of any time. I also imagine that by the time most will have their 6 BAC or whatever other type they need, they are already wearing the Mythic they were planning to craft with the Runes.
I’ve got only 2 BAC runes myself but have seen 4 shroud of false deaths drop this season, all from Varshan.
Just goes to show you that RNG is a fickle beast.
Yep.
Found
- 7 seligs
- 1 shroud
- 1 Andy’s
- 2 DB
- 2 GF
- 1 TM
Crafted
- Andy’s (random craft)
- Shako
- Ross
I prob would have had more but this was by far the worst and shortest season yet. Lets also not forget all the runes on top of that which most I gave away to friends and fourm ppl.
What going to say that you still had work to do because no Tyrael and it just appeared in your post.
This is not a resource based game. I don’t get it.
Yeah I forgot about it. It was an amazing 2ga roll too. It sat in my stash lol. Normally shakos have been my most seen mythic every season. I never had one drop for me. First season I actually had to craft one.
Well if Blizzard and everyone else is so apathetic that regular players can’t afford valuable 3-4 GA items due to dupers skyrocketing the price to over 100b Gold, I guess I should be too. Especially send the end game content is so dog **** in this game, we don’t even have LEADERBOARDS for Pits.
Duping lowers prices.
Even if there wasnt duping you have people playing trade/credit card simulator. The result would be the same/worse.
Leaderboader are weaksauce. Always have been with bots, and credit card warriors.
Don’t trade……problem solved
Your welcome
Duping affects Trading in its totality. Bots, RMT, Exploits will almost always exist if you have or engage in Trading. Blizzard may end up balancing drop rates of items based on a skewed perception.
This is particularly why players have asked for a SSF or really, SF Mode they can create their characters in. By doing so, these characters would be restricted from Trading, however, Drop Rates would be increased to off-set the fact they cannot engage in the economy and just Trade stuff and RMT.
I don’t think so… Like I mentioned, perfect 3-4 GA items go for 99B Gold + hundreds of grand gems or runes, these items should be expensive but neither you or I could collect 99B Gold and farm hundreds of grand gems/runes realistically
Don’t get me wrong : I hate duping, I hate cheating, I hate RMT, I hate exploits and, as weird as it seems, I hate trading too.
It’s a good thing that decent loot is so common now in D4 that trading is not necessary and unless your build requires a few specific mythics to even reach Pit 75 (in which case, it’s sadly not a great starter build), you should be able to progress just fine without buying a single rune, ever. I certainly wouldn’t mind a SF realm or something akin to D3 where you can only trade with those who were in your group when it dropped (which would be group loot outside of mythics, mostly).
I’m playing off-meta builds, builds that can maybe clear Pit 100-105 with excellent gear, almost perfect masterwork crit and a couple of 1GA/2GA mythics. Anyone playing an objectively better build/skill really don’t need superbly rolled gear to complete this season objectives, unless a player has its eyes on Pit 150.
It sucks that gold sellers/dupers are destroying the economy as a whole, but at least, trading is not necessary to progress.
This might be why Blizzard don’t bother. As long as it doesn’t hurt their bottom line, I guess they’ll never bother.
if this was correct I would maybe have one of the two mythics I need for my build… but not only I dont have a single mythic at all but I’m only at 1 out of 6 runes that I need for my first craft and the runes are not cheap despite being “duped” apparently.
Both can be true. Things can be less expensive and still relatively expensive.
