So yeah, I was just playing and it hit me all of the sudden. I just don’t want to do this anymore.
For me it was because I still after 183 hours of playtime have not found a Tempest Roar. I simply can’t keep farming for that same drop. I’ve had 7, yes, 7 Vasily helms drop but no Tempest Roar.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a typical “This game sucks, I quit” thread. Sure, I feel improvements can definitely be made to the game but hell, it’s given me 183 hours of fun in a month. To me that’s pretty good and even if I never played again I got my moneys worth.
I do expect to return for Season 1, I just highly doubt I will roll a Druid again. I think I want to go to a class that doesn’t rely on any unique items.
No particular reason for this post and I’m not special in anyway so no real reason for anyone to care. I’m just sitting here and felt like posting/sharing. LOL I’ll probably end up logging back in even though I feel I’m defeated for now.

Just 7 ? I found Vasily maybe 50+ times. I’m sitting at the level 100. Been like 2 weeks maybe. Only 3 Tempest Roar drop I’ve seen. The funny thing is, I dropped 2 of them at the same day
haha, yep only 7. I thought that was a lot but maybe Blizzard really does just hate me when it comes to unique helms dropping!
It seems they buffed the drop rate, my Druid friends correct that too. Dropped 3 days ago, I don’t play rn so IDK

hmmm this may give me another reason to log back in and continue the addiction. It would figure the helm would end up dropping a few days before the new season starts rofl.
It’s not really quitting if you plan on coming back in a week.
Taking a break is what that is called.

I have two tempest it’s a neat item but you will get bored all the same.
I would love to try going bear druid but I don’t want to grind 10-15 million gold and re-spec.
It’s so strange that not only you among many have reported this - my friends as well. Took them forever to find that Helm.
First Barb loot pool interwoven and then the item just not dropping.
Dev def need to take a look at whatever parameters are in place. Might be a bug.
As an aside - I’ll be on in a bit. If you have a Mule/Alt Druid, if you’re game, I’m down with running an experiment
(or any time. doesn’t have to be tonight. Something that worked for me and has, without fail, worked for all my friends/clan mates that I’ve helped)

Actually, I’ll go with Druid again anyway. Build diversity just make me play more. I played 5 build till I built a Werenado build. I’ll try the Pulverize with unstoppable aspect + movement speed amulet. I played like a turtle, a true form of coco bear would be fun
I actually do have a druid alt of all things.
The story goes as such:
My other friend mains a Druid but he runs the pulverize build. He’s had 4 Tempest Roar helms drop but no Vasily. I run Tornado and had 7 Vasily drop but no Tempest Roar. So we put our heads together and said “This has got to be Blizz trolling us”. So we power leveled each other to 50.
Well, finally got that first unique helm drop on my Druid alt and it was still a Vasily. So I guess it doesn’t care what your spec is. It just seems so weird that he needs Vasily and I need Tempest Roar yet we both get the drops the other needs lol.
Oh that’s harsh!
BUT there’s the prob: Dru + Dru + Matrix reading our minds(right?) = Corrupted loot pool and continued troll. haha.
I’d use my Rogue to Cap/Cap & NMD you. No loot pool confusion

I’m definitely down to try at some point. Maybe tonight, maybe this weekend. Depends on when we eat lol. My main Druid is only 87 though. I’ve spend so much time in the PvP zone because the drops and loot there is the best anywhere. It made me lag behind on XP quite a bit. So if we do NMD I can’t contribute a ton if we go higher then NM40.
I know what you’re saying, OP. I don’t hate the game. In fact, I loved it for the first 50 levels, really enjoyed it from 50-75, but basically only played to see my build through after that, since I wanted the paragons.
But honestly, there’s just nothing to do. The itemization is crazy linear, the unique items suck, all rogue aspects pertain to imbuements and traps (and literally nothing else), and only NM dungeons are even rewarding, but they just get old.
I’m a bit different from you, though. I’m not even planning on playing season one, despite owning the battle pass I bought with the early access version of the game.
Here’s a tip, though, if you want a class that doesn’t need uniques to be good, play the rogue, all of the rogue uniques are worse than blue items, lol.

Yeah, rogue is atm the class I want to roll with for season 1. I’ve heard many people say you can get by just fine with them and no unique items.
Look at it this way: Shadowgrasp is a chase unique for rogue gauntlets and adds 18% damage with its unique ability. A pair of blue gantlets with max crit chance will add at least 30% damage, but probably more like 40-50%, if you have a solid build.
Even with a shadow clone build, the crit chance on the rare or blue gauntlets is better, because that same damage transfers to the clone, lol.
Also, if you do end up using the daggers, they drop constantly from level 70 and up.
It should be and sounds like one though. Not a very convincing argument being made that this game is good. It is actually terrible and it doesn’t hurt to say that.
It’s not one of “those” threads.
Frustration, fatigue and when an item won’t drop for your otherwise good times, happy days, fun class - sense of futility.

I appreciate your opinion but I disagree. It’s hard for me to say a game I played for 183 hours sucks lol. That just doesn’t compute to me. I’m just slightly burned out due to some frustration.
Must just be bad taste then. Does the art just do it for you? Can’t even be the combat when you can’t melee enemies that are against walls and there is delay for using potions and dodge. Well you can’t Twisting Blades mobs that are against walls at least.
