I cannot whisper, invite, reply or friend anyone in game. The only way I can is to add a friend if I know their battlenet id. Even replies are marked undeliverable. I have all settings correct, set to everyone. I’ve looked this issue up and did not find a solution. Clearly this is not working as it should. I purchased the game and the expansion on Steam.
eventually it had something to do with the VoH update?
my battlenet launcher was kind of angry as well. i had to wait 5 minutes til it found my games for example.

Somewhere in your Blizzard social thing is pending invites. Clear these old invites out and see if it works better.
nice thought but my account is about 3 weeks old. I did get a reply from the so-called support service which amounted to “report it as a bug”. So, no help.
Are you a new account? It is possible that there is a grace period to prevent spam bots, etc from posting to anyone but friends after account creation.
