Stop trying to out-skill people in an ARPG and just have fun.
I literally came here to tell you all to be nice for the love of the Light. On this forum for all of 30 seconds to investigate why people hate the game so much and really, it’s because the community is trash on top of patches that aren’t thought through all the way.

Emotion can run high on the interwebs, especially these days. There are a lot of people who want this game to be great, but think that it isn’t. When you tie in that emotion to a game that’s had a tumultuous release, it can tend to make people pretty upset.
I’m not saying that excuses people’s behaviour, but I think it has a lot to do with it.
You can’t really ask people to just have fun and calm down and also call them trash.
It’s rather counterproductive.
I don’t think they want it to be great. They just can’t see the forest for the trees and want their pet peeve feature fixed NAO!!! or they swear they are going to QUIT!!!. And of course anoounce when they actually “quit” so you know they quit. Then hang around for months to tell you why they quit. THAT video was the LAST Straw!!! /s

Yeah I can’t tell you that you’re wrong about that. There are plenty of those cases. In my optimism I like to think that people are only here because they want things to be better.

It depends on the sub. Rude level (most to least):
PC General Discussion > Console Discussion > Hardcore > Class subforums
Broken resists, poor horse design, 4 stash tabs knowing gems and hearts would fill them, broken side quests, broken skills, broken aspects, no social features, copy/ paste dungeons with idiotic find (x) mechanics are not pet peeves.
They are fundamental flaws with a game that was released early.
There’s a lot of disappointment for sure. Patches change rules and affect gameplay. A player could be doing ok then nerfed out of nowhere. So we go look for reasons and the nerfs are because someone on YT did something that most mortals can’t or something absurd.

Not everyone who plays the game. Just a sizable percentage of people on the forum. 
It’s part of the reason the in game community is soo bad. People come in the forums and see some of the posts and refuse to play with people that act like that. And people wonder why the in fame community is empty.

It’s actually gotten a bit better over the past month or so. Many of the D4 irrational haters have moved on or been banned. There’s still negativity for certain, but it’s no where near the ridiculous levels it was around launch.
It is just how gamers are programmed. Higher than average ability to think and calculate, lower than average ability to understand their own feelings or be empathetic towards others.
What I remember is that the forum mood fell off a cliff after patch 1.0 where they nerfed everyone and everything lol.
