Is there no GOLD gambling in D4? Only Obols?
Im for and against this im not sure how i feel, having no gold gambling does make it harder for cheaters/botters/d2jsp users etc
But it also affects the whole player base, not sure how i feel about there not being a gold gambler,
How do you guys feel about no gold gambling?
I’m glad for it. If there was gold gambling, botting and selling gold would be nuts.
Yeah for sure and judging by beta and what the devs are saying gold is still going to be very useful and needed.
Just wish we could live in an alternate universe were botting and selling was a criminal offense and really hard to get away with 
I dont understand how people can get away with cheating in an online competitive setting and sometimes ruining other peoples experience through leaderboards and w/e is so easy to do and get away with

Maybe make gambled items boa?
Even then the botters and gold buyers could obtain tons of really good gear by cheating 
Hahaha, gambling with gold would be icing on the cake for the JSP degens. I cant imagine Blizzard catering this much to these people.
I know they had rates ramped up for beta, but I got a legendary from gambling for every 1/3 attempts. Maybe they’re restricting it with a separate currency because it will have a higher chance for better outcomes, and since gold is going to be a non-issue in the endgame according to everyone on these forums, they don’t want to make it ridiculously easy to farm gambles. Though it’s not that hard to get obols, either.
I still don’t think botting is going to be as bad as people think it’s going to be when it costs 70$ for the game.
Not sure if the rest of the game will be the same way, but gold was already sparse in the beta. Seems even Santuary was hit by the massive inflation these days.
Gold drops will be even higher at level100. I could do Anicas runs with 200-300k+ an hour.
There is a max on how many obols you can have.
Clearly Blizzard thought this through as they didn’t want players being able to build up tons of gold throughout their playthrough and then gambling it all end game likely for big returns.
It’s clearly intentional and well thought out otherwise they wouldn’t have created a separate currency for it.
No need for gold gambling and 100% sure the fact obols exist means it won’t ever be in the game.
