I would love to be able to have a hotkey on my keyboard that swapped me between the two staffs my characters uses. One is great for close-fighting. Another is great for distance. Going to the menu takes too long.
Is there any way to set this? Looking at the Key-bindings, it does not appear to be an option but maybe I’m missing something?
sadly not. i would like the function as well, like it was in d2 for example. Maybe itll get added sometime
Bind a side mousekey open inventory… it’s what a i use and it’s super fast. Just keep the staff in top left corner of inventory and it will become muscle memory fast.

Thanks. That is what I have been doing until now. Sadly even that 2-step process dramatically cuts down on my opportunities to use it.
I really hope they can open this side of the game up, its so restricting, one reason i don’t like d3 as much.
So many games offer weapon swap, and skills on weapons etc, seems so limiting to do it this way,
I mean, it’s only a game developed by this small, indie company. You cannot expect proper key binding. Lower your expectations a bit more, you’ll be happier, as demonstrated by the smooth brain Blizzard employees posting here.
Software is really really hard. I write it for a living. Getting 90 % of the way there is easy. Getting 100% and pleasing everyone is impossible.
And my software isn’t used by a fraction of a fraction of the people this game is played by. I do not envy the Blizzard employees the endless flak they have to take from the endlessly unsatisfied hordes
I get people always want something different but what blows me away is some people want huge complex changes game wide just for them.
Were talkin core mechanics. Like the person that wants all seasonal content no matter what to transfer to eternal. Or the person that doesnt want to have to make a new character for every new season.
Then when people explain politely why thats not possible they lose their poop and go ballistic and attack mercilessly because they arent going to get their way and finally realize it.
Much like a 2 year old whos told no candy before dinner.

You don’t even have to hit a button, it will automatically swap weapons depending on the type of power you are using!
