Is there any use for Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander?

First time one has dropped for me and I am tempted to just turn it into a delicious spark so any thoughts are welcomed.

Fun for leveling a druid or sorc, and possibly useful as part of a gauntlet build, but not much beyond that.

The main use is for self induced rage as conduit procs for the 4th time in a row

If only Conduit were half a second quicker, or even used attack speed. Soooooo sllllloooowwww

It’s the worst mythic.

Reasons:
All of its additive damage is in the innate affix that cannot be improved by masterworking.

Its all stats% is worthless when you use it to level new characters, and still not that good on level 100 character because it hardly compensates for the main stat players usually have on weapon(s).

All resist is pointless due to Tyrael’s Might.

Restore resource is not reliable due to low lucky hit chance.

Conduit shrine actually nerfs your damage output when your character is well built.

It’s so fun to use for leveling alternate characters for the sparks. Hilariously, all three of my masterwork crits went into movement speed, boosting it by over 72%, which I don’t mind at all. Combined with Slaughter Aspect boots, I can reach 200% movement speed, making it easy for my alt char to evade projectiles and unlock the world tier.

With over 3600+ DPS, it feels godly, and shrine effects are definitely helpful in focusing on farming Infernal Hordes to reach the final purple spark.

In my opinion a Doombringer with ancestral offhand at level 55 is far better than Ahavarion for leveling.

i loved my sorc spear in s4 it was awesome. I am tempted to craft a spear this season. Its so fun!

when you get the greed shrine, you get 50m to 100m gold. get that back to back to back every minute and you are mega rich fast :slight_smile:

yup, the gold piles scaled so good even for sub-100 level alt char doing Hordes T2/T3 because the amount of mobs in there. :slight_smile:
