Is there actually an Act 7 Epilogue?

I can’t count the number of quests that a certain NPC, who I have determined to be Blizzard’s new in-game rep, has sent me on. They seem to be nothing more than pointless side-errands that literally have nothing to do with getting any closer to the end of the story. I am not sure if all this fluff was necessary due to there not being much of an Epilogue for Act 7 at all…but it’s gotten old. All I’m asking is for a resolution to the story. Instead, I’ve literally been turned into an NPC’s errand boy for no obvious reason. I don’t even care if the Epilogue itself is extremely short or not…I just want to stop feeling like I’m being conditioned to jump through hoops at some type of aquatic event at a large aquarium. Similar to how they make dolphins or seals do tricks for a food reward. Except the fish Blizz is dangling in front of me appears to be invisible. Just end the story, rather than extending it beyond its limits, like trying to spread a small amount of butter across a large slice of bread. All I ask is for a quick resolution, instead of an invisible fish.

The Seal of approval?

I haven’t gotten good sleep for over 2 months or so…as a result, I can’t tell if you are telling me the quest’s name, or if you are funning me over something I said, lol. If it is literally called The Seal of Approval…I haven’t run into it yet. The game seems determined to force me to do everything from Kurast Undercity to the Pit (clear tier 20) before it will actually give me any sort of inkling as to what the final part of the story is about…not that I want it spoiled for me, but would be nice to know at what point the game actually decides to hand you an actual Epilogue quest. So far, it’s been the longest non-epilogue epilogue I have ever experienced in a game, lol :upside_down_face:

Play on words, given you said it was like being a trained seal.

I will watch your clearly hilarious video later…but I appreciate the link! At first, I thought it was a YouTube video link talking about the Epilogue, only to find it was a hilarious Monty Python video about where can that fish be  You likely made my day–whether in the future or present doesn’t matter to me. So, thanks in advance.

It seems like the epilogue quest is designed to ease newer players into other parts of D4 content. Seeing as you can skip the main campaign and go straight to the expansion.

I agree with you on that…I haven’t participated in much, if any of the other content…except maybe Helltides when those first came out. Just feel like for players that don’t want to mess with doing those things…there should be some kind of out, similar to what you said regarding being able to skip the main campaign if players so choose to. I’m honestly not sure I can even finish tier 20 of the Pit on some of my chars…at least not solo. If my SB wasn’t currently receiving a refresher course in Acts 1-6, I would use her to complete this quest…but the character in question I was thinking of doing it on, as she is the furthest into the epilogue tests, is my Barbarian. And I am painfully aware of how nerfed they in particular are atm. Perhaps I should wait and do the Pit quest on my summoner Necro. Would be a lot easier.

Granted, I did enjoy my quick, timed run of Kurast Undercity, but I feel the Pit may be less necessary in terms of this epilogue test, if you will. Idk, never been inside the Pit of the Artificer, if I’m being honest…maybe tier 20 is literally child’s play. But nervous to start it on a Barb…so yeah. I will take my own advice, and do it on my Necromancer instead :skull:
